As mentioned on the campaign page, we're super excited about the Mad Hatter loose leaf tea that we're able to offer in collaboration with Many Worlds Tavern (MWT)!
MWT was kind enough to let us design the bag and name the tea. We knew we wanted it to be a black tea because we figured that might actually be what Lewis Carroll may have been drinking as black tea was a popular choice for tea at the time. Bergamot also began being added to tea in the early-mid 1800s in England, and led to the creation and commercialization of Earl Grey tea (a distinctive black tea with bergamot oil) in 1834. So, we felt that bergamot may have been a popular addition to tea when Lewis Carroll came out with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865). With those things in mind, the tea and coffee geniuses at MWT fine-tuned and created the Mad Hatter blend which is rounded out by French vanilla and a touch of cornflower in addition to the zesty bergamot.
