Hi everyone! The books got delayed in customs, but they should be arriving today or tomorrow! Yay! That means that fulfillment will start this weekend. You should have gotten an email alert to update your shipping address within the next 2 days if you've moved. After 48 hours all shipping addresses will lock as I will be printing out shipping labels so I can send out your rewards.

Currently my plan is to get most of the rewards packaged and ready to ship this weekend so they go out on Monday, but it could take upwards of a week to get them all out. You will get an email notifying when your package ships and will include tracking information. Many of you in the United States should get your reward by Christmas.

Hi everyone!

I was a little late charging cards after locking your orders due to the fact that I wanted to triple check the laws regarding state sales tax. I'm glad I did, because I had done it wrong! I had thought I needed to charge sales tax for all orders in the United States, however I only needed to charge it for those in the state of Utah. So I removed all unnecessary sales tax before charging your cards, so many of you will notice that the final cost was lower than when you filled out the survey. As for those in the state of Utah, sorry, that sales tax had to stay cause that's where my business is registered.

Now that cards are charged, you'll be able to access your digital downloads by logging into your Backerkit account. If your card was declined, no worries, you can update your payment information in the upcoming weeks. Backerkit should automatically send you an email to update your payment if your card was declined.

Fulfillment Update:
The books are shipped and right now the shipper is estimating a delivery of early December. I'm planning to get everything ready so once I get those books I'm ready to start fulfillment. Delays are possible as it is close to the Christmas season, so I'll let you know if the timeline changes.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to send a little update out letting you know that the survey is pretty much ready to go and test surveys have been sent out! The test survey went out to a small number of you first, that way I can make sure everything is running how it should before I send it out to everyone. So if you've gotten your survey in your inbox, be sure to fill it out soon and let me know if you run into any problems!  All surveys should be sent out to everyone by the end of the week.

Book Update:
I'm happy to say that the final files for the book are into the printer and they are currently being manufactured. Printing usually takes about 2 week and then they will being their voyage across the ocean to my house! I'm really excited for how the book is looking so far and I'm excited to have the final product in my hands!

Hi everyone! The campaign is over and we hit our $8,500 stretch goal so the book will now have gold foil on the cover! I am really excited about this and I'm working on editing the design files to add this extra upgrade! 

Now that the campaign is over, Backerkit will be charging cards on file. Backerkit has a 2 week period where it will be collecting funds and allow backers to update and fix any payment problems. After those two weeks, I'll be getting those funds to pay for the books! At that point, I will be sending out the surveys where you will fill out your shipping information and pay for shipping and tax and add-on any extra goodies you might want. This survey will also be how you get your digital rewards. You'll also be able to let me know any extra details I might need to fulfill your reward such as what bookmark design you might want or which characters you want drawn on your bookplate or as a sketch. I'll be giving you a heads up for when this survey will go live, but it should hit your inbox early October.

Right now I'm getting ready for Salt Lake FanX, which is next week. If you're planning on attending I'll be at booth 640. After that, I'll finish all edits on the book and submit final files for print October 6th.

During this time, I'll also be doing a mini campaign for this book over on Kickstarter. Back when I was first planning on doing this campaign I set it up on Kickstarter and had a prelaunch page up and going. Unfortunately, I couldn't remove the prelaunch page after I decided to move to Backerkit. As such, there's a number of people who missed out on the campaign because they expected it to launch on Kickstarter. So I'm doing a short 10 day campaign on Kickstarter from September 18th-28th for anyone who missed out on the Backerkit campaign. Any stretch goals bonuses reached on Kickstarter will be added to all Backerkit rewards, so stretch goals will be cumulative!
