When the original artist of Temerity had to leave the project, it felt like the end. But Temerity refused to die, and now, for issue #4: Blitz Station, Chad Hardin is returning to do what he does best: covers that stop you in your tracks.

The stunning interiors continue with Light Comic Studio, and with Chad on the cover we are delivering something special. The Temerity crew is heading somewhere bigger and more dangerous than ever. Taeru, Naia, and Captain McKarmick dock at Blitz Station — hunted, outnumbered, and absolutely not backing down. This is the Temerity you fell in love with, and it's back in a big way.
Backing a crowdfunding campaign is an act of trust, and I don't take that lightly. I've run and fulfilled 15 campaigns including this very series, where over 800 backers helped raise over $25,000 for issue #2 alone. My webcomic Children of Eldair has been running for over 10 years with 150,000 subscribers and 600+ pages of content. I know how to deliver. When you back Temerity, you'll get your reward! On time, high quality, no excuses.
Temerity follows Taeru, a genetically engineered super-soldier on the run from the organization that created him, and the ragtag mercenary crew of the starship Temerity who are keeping him alive, mostly against their better judgment.

Issue #4 picks up right where we left off: the crew of the Temerity has docked at Blitz Station, the galaxy's biggest neutral territory where anything could happen. The plan is simple: keep Taeru moving every four hours to dodge his tracking chip, find someone who can recode it, and don't cause an incident. But when your super-soldier doesn't understand why you can't change clothes in public, and your captain is secretly building a list of buyers to sell him off to pay off an enormous debt, "simple" was never really on the table.
With Yamamoto's elite enforcers arriving on station and a three-day deadline closing in, the Temerity crew must be both brilliant and quick-witted to get out of this alive.
If you've been following the series, I know you'll enjoy this newest addition to the story. And if you're new, this is a great jumping-on point with most of the comic available to read free at jemmayoung.com
This issue is 25 full-color pages printed on high-quality glossy paper, saddle stitched, with a cover by Chad Hardin and a variant cover by Jemma M. Young. As we grow in funding, we will add content to book 4, including more guest art, extra side comics, and concept art.

Hi, my name is Jemma Young – the creator and artist for “Children of Eldair” and Temerity.” I grew up on a small farm in Utah and I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been drawing comics since I was eight. I loved drawing comics so much that when I was in junior high, my friends and I created an all-girls comic team and posted our work online for anyone to see. Even after we went our own ways, I continued to draw and create stories for fun.
In 2011, I decided to do the first sixteen pages of “Children of Eldair” for my senior BFA project. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to turn it into a webcomic which has been running for over 10 years with over 600 pages of content and over 150,000 subscribers online. I also work on my scifi comic “Temerity” and the fancomic “Zelda’s Lullaby” and other comic projects. Since graduating college I’ve done freelance illustration, kickstarter consulting, and other cool creative projects.
Shipping will be charged after the campaign has ended. This is to ensure that I can accurately calculate shipping costs based on your reward and any add-ons you might have. This reduces shipping costs for everyone in the long run.
Here’s a general breakdown on how much you can expect to pay for shipping based on the weight of your pledge. I have added estimated weights and shipping costs to all add-ons and pledge levels, so if you add those all up you should have a decent idea of how much shipping will cost. International Shipments: Please make sure you are aware of your VAT tax, tariffs, and customs for your country! Every country is different so we can’t estimate how much these extra fees will cost. We also declare the full value of your shipment on the Customs forms. We will be typically be shipping within the USA with USPS and Internationally with FedEx.
While we appreciate financial support, we understand that not everyone is in a place to pledge. But that’s not the only way you can support Temerity! Sharing this comic with friends and family is a great way to help. Follow us on social media such as Instagram and Twitter, and like, share, and commenting helps us get past gate-keeping algorithms and expand our reach. The more Temerity lovers there are out there, the more likely we are to hit our goals and create more content!
I'm excited to bring this new chapter of Temerity to life! If you'd like to check out Temerity, you can read most of online for free on my website at www.jemmayoung.com or check out the multimedia version of chapter 1 below:
I have helped run and fulfill 15 successful Kickstarters including my own projects and projects for clients. So I'm familiar with how to run a campaign as well as how to fulfill them efficiently and in a timely manner. Of course, there can always be hiccups and delays along the way, and if they do happen I'll be sure to keep people updated here and on social media.
