If someone else would pony up $1,500, I would love to pledge at the level that lets me play a virtual tabletop game with Jenn Lyons. That sounds like so much fun. I would play Balthazar, the Invincible Wizard. (I'm totally kidding, I wouldn't care if I played an incompetent thief that gets blasted to bits by a trap in the first three minutes.) On a more serious note, I've restricted my social media network to Mastodon/fediverse, so if I hadn't checked Jenn Lyons' website myself hoping for news of a new book, I wouldn't have seen this. I'm glad I did, pledged. (At a much lower than $1,500 level.)
Project Update: Happy Saturday Update
Happy Saturday. Hope you have a fantastic weekend.
We've got two weeks left (the campaign ends on April 11).
This week's news:
We hit out second Setting Guide stretch goal; Earth will detail what the world is like all these decades after the Sarcodinay showed up. From Dome Dwellers to Wilders, from Megacities to Quarantine Zones, learn all about life on our homeworld in the future.
Also: the RPG is a go. Someone backed the Keeper's tier (you know who you are and you're an absolute legend!) so that's a thing that'll happen. We might record it for rebroadcast later, or not; depends on the players and their preferences. Either way, it's going to be fun, I'm sure of that!
We're closing in on the next stretch goal. We've released flyers for folks to print out and distribute if they want, which have a QR code to direct them to this campaign. We've locked in our last-round copy editor (she said yes!) and there will be more details about THAT coming up. And we've announced that we're having a release party when the physical books are available at Eagle Eye Books in Duluth, and we've got another in-store event in the planning stages that I can't talk about just yet.
Oh, and in case anyone's interested, the Factions breakdown looks like this as of noon on Friday:
Dome Dwellers: 5
League: 33
Wilders: 27
Pirates: 21
Thank you for your continued support, and talk to you in a couple days. Enjoy your weekend!
Project Update: Physical Book Release Party - Pre-planning stages
Yesterday, I talked to Charles over at Eagle Eye Books, and we've got something fun planned.
When the book is available in physical format (which, granted, it still a ways out yet, but we're getting closer and closer), we're going to have a "Release Party" at Eagle Eye in Decatur, GA.
If you can make it, feel free to come. Anyone who backed at any tier is welcome, even if it wasn't physical. If you don't have a book yet, or are friends with someone who isn't going to get one via this campaign, there will be copies available there for sale as well.
Additionally, if you can't physically make it for whatever reason, we'll be doing a livestream of the event.. probably on Zoom, but perhaps on Discord or something. Details are still being worked out.
Anyways, I just wanted to share with you this good news.
Keep up the fight! We've got those Sarcodinay on the ropes, I tell ya. ON THE ROPES.
