It all began on a fine summer day...

In a cozy corner of the Hundred Acre Wood, Pooh and his dear friends Piglet, Tigger, and the rest, all treasured companions of young Christopher Robin, found themselves facing a rather perplexing situation. You see, these delightful characters owe their animated lives to the spirited imaginings of Christopher Robin, which his dear papa, Mr. A.A. Milne, so lovingly penned down for all to cherish. Now, on this particular day, an air of distress hung about, for Christopher Robin was under the spell of a worrisome fever. His concerned nanny, wanting only the best, had gone to summon a doctor, whom the young boy did not fancy much.

Wishing to ease their dear friend's ailment, the collective of Hundred Acre Wood inhabitants turned to wise Owl. With his customary air of gravitas, Owl produced a recipe for a potion, believed to have the power to remedy Christopher Robin's condition. Yet, the ingredients for this elixir were scattered in the very nooks and crannies of the wood that the animals often whispered about in hushed tones. And so, with the doctor's impending arrival casting a shadow of urgency, our friends embarked on an expedition, encountering not just their innermost fears, but also the very woozles, heffalumps, and jagulars they had heard tales of. In his feverish state, such frightening creatures are as real as Pooh and his friends.

Thus, dear reader, our adventure in the Hundred Acre Wood unfolds.

What wonders lay before us.

Much of the action in the classic tales of Winnie The Pooh and his friends involves overcoming fears. A similar thread weaves through our  adventure. Instead of hit points, characters have bravery points. Should a character run out of bravery points they are too scared to continue. In the same way, encouragement substitutes for healing magic and honey is akin to healing potions. The gameplay is otherwise run using 5th edition rules which players will need to be familiar with.

Between two and six players can participate, along with the DM. Encounters are scaled to how many characters are joining. Players choose from Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Roo, and Eeyore. Each of the six pre-generated characters are unique and have abilities that will be come in handy for various situations, though success is far from guaranteed.

Where does the magic come from?

In the Hundred Acre Wood, where stories are told and dreams come to life, lived the delightful tales penned by A. A. Milne. So beloved were these tales that they wandered into homes and hearts far and wide. Why, even in my own home, an old copy of Winnie The Pooh resided. Though worn and scribbled upon by three generations, the charm within its pages never diminished.

I fondly recall bedtime filled with Pooh's adventures, with my very own Pooh bear nestled in my arms—a round, yellow bear with a red shirt. Time added Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger to the collection, yet Pooh always held my affection. Loved and cherished to within an inch of his life, Pooh's yellow fur wore away, his eyes vanished, and his arms were stitched back on by my mother's gentle hands. Only a trace of black on his nose and a speck of his smile remained, memories of countless adventures together.

Now, a century since the world first embraced Pooh, he has become a treasure shared by all. What splendid idea, then, to honor these charming tales with a different kind of adventure, a celebration of friendship and whimsy in the Hundred Acre Wood? I believe, dear friend, it might be quite wonderful indeed.
