It has been just about a year since we shipped out books and completed fulfillment for most folks. There are something like six people who still haven't filled out their surveys. At this point, it makes sense for me to close out the Pledge Manager -- something I should have done a while ago, honestly (I'll be honest I only just today realized it was something I could do).
If you still haven't filled out your survey, you have until the end of September to do so. As of October 1st, I'm closing everything out.
As a reminder, physical copies of the book can be purchased from Indie Press Revolution or your local game store. Digital copies are available via IPR, itch, and Role. (They are currently unavailable on DTRPG and I am re-assessing whether I want to keep the game available there or not.)
Hi all! Just popping in real quick to hype a crowdfunding campaign I'm really excited about. I got to write a blurb for the campaign and believe me when I say I'm really excited about a lot of what it's doing, including it's approach to emergent mystery storytelling. I strongly suspect if I'd seen this before revising Bump, a lot of the tech here would have made it in to my game. The game also manages to marry easy to use, story-forward mechanics with tense tactical play, which feels impossible to me? So it's really cool that it is able to do that.
Tribes in the Dark has only four days left, and it's a modern re-imagining of the cult classic 90s post-apocalyptic TTRPG, Tribe 8.
Pre-orders are open now for Dragon Reactor: Ashes, Moments, and Stars, a "mythopoetic mech TTRPG about war, tragedy, and what you do with the power to change the world." It looks really, really cool and it's made by some super cool people.
I just wanted to take a moment to announce that Bump in the Dark: Revised Edition is a finalist for the 2025 CRIT Awards in the category of Best Indie TTRPG! I am incredibly proud of this game and the work that me and my friends put into it, as well as the community that has grown up around it. I am endlessly grateful to all of you who've taken the time to read it, play it, rate it, review it, tell your friends about it, and nominate it for the CRIT Awards!
Unlike some other awards, the CRIT Awards are both nominated and chosen by the community. At the end of the day, Bump in the Dark is really a game about community -- about people coming together to fight and take care of each other. Being a CRIT Awards finalist underlines that for me, the importance of our little communities, where ever they exist.
That being the case, it would mean the world to me if you took a moment out of your day to vote for Bump in the Dark for Best Indie TTRPG! Voting is live now and closes June 30th, and there are a lot of other really cool projects that are up for awards in other categories.

Just wanted to check in to let people know about a couple of cool things that are happening:
The Bump in the Dark Bundle for Indigenous Health is live over on itch.io! Pick up the game and 18 supplements by a variety of writers -- some of which really push the game in new directions! -- for only ten bucks while raising money for the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center in Milwaukee, WI, a community-based and culturally sensitive healthcare clinic focusing on the physical and emotional health of Milwaukee's Native American community.
My pal Mikey and my buddies at Mythworks just launched the first official expansion for Slugblaster! Check it out on Backerkit, because it's really heckin' cool.
I should also mention that the folks over at Evil Hat are crowdfunding a physical edition of Blades in the Dark: Deep Cuts, which contains not only a bunch of new and cool lore for the game, but many modular mechanical changes that you could slot right into Bump if you wanted to!

I am going to be at Breakout Con March 14-16 in Toronto! I strongly suspect that if you are in or around Toronto and follow me in any capacity, you were already aware of this, but just in case, I wanted to make sure people know. It’d be really cool to meet some of y’all, maybe get a cup of tea. Additionally, my Sunday game still has room in it! And while the others are all full, it never hurts to get on the wait list in case someone drops out. I’m really excited to get back to Breakout, as its coming to feel like a home away from home. Hopefully I’ll see some of you there.
