Project Update: Update 32: Shipping Imminent
Happy Wednesday my dear Last Piners!
I'm excited to update that shipping is set to begin pretty much any day now. We are hammering out final details with IPR and once that's all set, they'll begin shipping immediately and estimate it taking about three days to get everything packed and shipped (barring any extenuating circumstances).
Some of you have already received tracking numbers from Pirate Ship. These are for the add-ons (stickers and print hunt bundles) and were generated when I purchased the shipping labels. We're not quite ready to actually ship those out (but we're almost there!) so it might be a couple of days before you get any tracking updates. When we start shipping, you will get an email from BackerKit that also contains your tracking number. This email more accurately reflects the status of your shipment. I'm sure most of you are aware but tracking numbers are generated by the US Postal Service when shipping labels are purchased, and then updated when the package is scanned at the post office, and then scanned again at each stop along the way. We're hoping to get everything in the mail by Saturday at the latest, and then we can have a fun race to see which arrives first, your book or your add-ons.
Thank you to those of you stragglers who filled out your surveys! There are still six people who have not completed their surveys. We've been consistently sending out reminders from BackerKit but it's possible that those have gone to spam. I will make an attempt to reach out directly, but if I don't hear anything back, I'm going to assume you're a lost cause. I am aware that it's pretty common in Crowdfunding campaigns to get people who just never answer their surveys. Maybe something came up, maybe you no longer have internet access, maybe someone got ill or there are more important things to attend to. The completionist in me hates that but the more human side of me can have patience, compassion, and flexibility. Those six folks will fill out their surveys when they fill out their surveys, or they won't fill them out, and it is what it is.
Additionally, there are two cards that were declined and one backer that is all ready to go but we don't have payment information for. Not sure how that got past the survey stage, but I'll be resending that person their survey so they can update their information.
For that last handful of folks, if there are extenuating circumstances, let me know! I am happy to work with you to figure out an arrangement that works. More than anything, I want to get you your books that you paid for!
That's all for now. Hope the rest of the week treats you well, and for those of you in parts of the world where it's currently autumn, I wish you crunchy leaves and cozy sweaters.
Gratefully yours,
jex
