Hey all! It's Friday, which means I'm checking in to update everybody on the project. We'll be doing fridays from here on out, and we'll compile everything that's happened in the campaign since.
I don't come empty-handed, though. Since we've crossed the $16K mark, you'll all be getting a bundled copy of my new pamphlet module Androids Unleashed, and I wanted to preview its contents. Behold:
Androids Unleashed comes with an android-specific panic table, an androids wound table, android subtypes, and roleplay guidelines! It's mostly complete with the exception of some art, which - now that we're funded up - will fill in that big question mark space and undoubtedly look good as hell. I will be putting out feelers this week to see who we're working with!
The initial style is inspired by the look of vintage trading cards. Not sure where I really pulled it from, except that Fire Sale features a sellable collection of "Androids Unleashed!" trading cards and I like the pulpy '50s adventure vibes. That's likely where I'll try to land the art - old, sensational comic book or film poster vibes. A terminator-type war-time droid stood atop a rock, or maybe something more melancholic (an android peering into a mirror perhaps)...
All the same! Digital backers will receive a digital version, and physical backers will have a physical copy bundled into their pledge. I am tempted to add some colour to it, but the pure black-and-white is really appealing as well. It'll be released to everybody soon after digital fulfillment as a pay-what-you-want supplement on digital storefronts, because I want to get it in front of as many people as possible, but know that it would not have seen the light of day and completion without your support!
We are well on our way to unlocking our first of two(!) vendor expansions as well, which Michael is in the process of writing now. By the time we roll around to the next update, I hope we will have some details and potentially even art to share!
