The whole purpose of a BANKED is to deliver an engaging and emotional yet offbeat character-driven pulp crime comic inspired by dozens of movies from the 90s like Reservoir Dogs, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, 2 Days in the Valley, Killing Zoe, Red Rock West, The Usual Suspects, Go, Bound, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Romeo is Bleeding, The Way of the Gun, and many more. Now, they're not all award-winning movies. They are pretty damned entertaining. The 1990s were a decade where neo-pulp was very popular. For me, it kicked off with Wild at Heart in 1990 and closed out the decade with Boondock Saints in 1999.
