LUMPIA MANGA dives 100 years later into the future of Fogtown. A warrior armed with LUMPIA suddenly creates mayhem in a world that is now populated by an elite class and their machines. This campaign aims to give potential backers a more in-depth peek behind the scenes with the creators while raising development funds to complete this comic book by SUMMER 2026.
This comic book is our love letter to anime, robots, sci-fi movies, our culture, and our community maintaining the DFU's heart and wacky premise- a silent avenging hero that fights injustice with his weapon of choice - LUMPIA!What's LUMPIA? It's that delicious Filipino spring roll that EVERYONE loves. And we're the crazy folks who made it into a non-edible movie, comic book, toys, and everything nerdy!
We've previously crowdfunded 9 comic book campaigns, making this our TENTH comic book project. All previous comic book issues were completed and they all look great! We are completely familiar with our workflow now. Whether you're a fan of the movie, a fan of LUMPIA in general, or one who's discovering us for the first time, join us in creating this fun new issue!
Most production costs will be taken care by us but YOU decide what type of comic book LUMPIA MANGGA #1 will be! You need to be a physical reward level backer $25 and up to get the pins.

$500 is our initial funding goal. The concept is GREENLIT and we will begin production on a 24 pages black and white standard saddle stitch comic book. Our TITLE LOGO 1.5" enamel pin is also unlocked for all $25+ backers.

About Kid Heroes Productions: Kid Heroes Productions is a Los Angeles-based production company founded by Patricio Ginelsa that specializes in unique film/video/comic book projects. They've produced two decades worth of music videos and commercials, with clients that include the Black Eyed Peas, Beatrock Music, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Lincoln, and DIRECTV. Their feature length film Lumpia With A Vengeance completed a remarkable self-distributed theatrical release in 2022 after an unprecedented film festival and comic book convention circuit run. The film is now available on digital platforms and Blu-ray/DVD. The film has spun off its own comic book series, published independently.
About Patricio Ginelsa: Patricio Ginelsa is from Daly City, CA, where he discovered his passion making neighborhood movies at the age of 13. After graduating cinema production at USC, he became the Associate Producer of THE DEBUT and wrote/directed the feature LUMPIA. Ginelsa has directed over a decade’s worth of music videos, including the Black Eyed Peas: The Apl Song. He’s won Best Music Video (SDAFF) for his Native Guns “Champion” and the California Preservation Foundation Presidents Award for BEP “Bebot: Generation One”. His crowdfunded feature LUMPIA WITH A VENGEANCE won the audience award at the Hawai'i International Film Festival leading to San Diego Comic-Con.

This campaign will be our TENTH solo crowdfunding project! All previous projects (including the feature film) were completed and they all look great. We are completely familiar with our workflow now. Once we are funded, it's off to the races and let the creators do what they do best. In the event of a delay, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you an updated delivery date.
