This is a campaign update that I am absolutely gutted to make.
First, please allow me to express that normally, while I anticipate hiccups and bumps along the way with production, this marks my first campaign that I am significantly 'late' on fulfilling due to issues outside of my control. The reality is these things do happen, and despite my efforts to micro-manage and fine tune every last detail, we are faced with another delay and before I continue with details, I just want to again thank all of you for being so patient and kind.
The good news: The issue has been found before the bulk order has shipped to me, meaning we can get this fixed without a significant financial hurdle (compared to if the issue was found after the goods arrived to me).
The bad news: Kandi & Batty have failed their inspection for QC, and I have instructed they be sent back for adjustments/repairs.
As I mentioned in a previous update, I elected to have Steven send me a handful of each Noopy so I could 'check them' over one last time and compare them to my approved sample. PHEW BOY am I glad I did that..
Why I chose to do this: One of the unfortunate realities that I am noticing across all manufacturing/sourcing is that despite me having and signing off on an approved product sample, the final bulk order 'product' ends up varying and looking different, with worse case scenarios having material changes entirely that I did not approve (that is not the case for this production, thankfully). To clarify: Subtle variations are completely normal and to be expected. Sometimes material changes need to be made due to shortages, and those types of situations are OK! These are still at the end of the day hand crafted by a dedicated team of awesome artisans and craftworkers.
So what happened?! 😲
Kandi seems to have decided he needed plastic surgery for his ears, and Batty for some reason well.. He just looks like he got stung by a lot of bees. He also decided "Sid the sloth" was his alter-ego.
Noopy has a very distinct head shape... That isn't circular.
This one isn't as easy to see, but trust me.. It's too round. and Noopy's head isn't round. ;;

This unfortunately marks our first ever "Major Malfunction" for Noops creation (with the exception of Meepy which was caught by Steven), and I am not able to accept these guys as they are in their current state. Fortunately, they should not need to be 'destroyed', they will just need to be repaired/reworked. While I do not think we will have another Meepy situation on our hands, I will of course let our dedicated Noop Troop know and we will see what we can do.
So what's next? 💔
Here is where I am just head-desking right now. I have already begun processing shipping fees for USA backers, but as of last night I am making the momentary decision to pause further processing of shipping fees. Just until I have a more concrete plan pending Steven's update about the repair time needed. ✅For those who's payment methods have gone through so far, thank you. There is no need to do anything further. I have asked Steven to inquire with the team to see how much additional time will be needed to get Kandi and Batty repaired. I currently am only guesstimating on the eta, but I am remaining hopeful WORSE CASE SCENARIO the boys will be arriving to me in the same timeline as Frankly and Hoshi, which would mean around early March. Best case scenario, they go in for repairs and finish by the end of this month, and begin their voyage and arrive to me by mid February. I will do my best to make a 'update' over on Instagram and Discord once I get a more definitive answer, which might take a week or so..
What About BonBon, and Pinky? They fortunately look great. The handful I received are consistent with the production samples, and I do not think they will need repairs.
⚠EU Backers: Because this is such a complex situation with GPSR changes going into effect, I am picking the best Noops from the few I have here, and will be shipping what I can. Should you meet your new chaotic family members and decide you absolutely detest them, please just send me an email and I will take the next steps for you. Side note for EU: I am currently optimistic that there will be 'exceptions' and 'solutions' implemented in 2025 for small businesses to resume shipping to the EU, so even though I intend to stop shipping to EU after this weekend, it is hopefully only temporarily. Fingers crossed.

Here are the most current updates for everyone:
⚠Important: 5 Unresponsive backers have been dropped from the campaign as of November 1st. This includes those who's payment methods have failed without resolution since the campaign ended in August. As mentioned previously, it's crucial for backers to respond to their surveys, and filling them to completion (which includes putting in your payment information for shipping fees) in order for me to successfully process and fulfill your order. As I operate on a conveyer belt method, waiting on unresponsive backers becomes burdensome and for lack of better phrasing, a massive headache and anxiety-inducing.
Production Is Wrapping up! My rep, Steven, anticipates that all plush will be finished at the end of this week, where they will then undergo QC to prepare for their journey to the USA!
From there, I have instructed Steven to send 5 pcs of each item to me expedited so I can overlook the final production and ensure no materials were changed without my approval (a situation that unfortunately has become more than common within my manufacturing endeavors), and assuming that there are no major issues I find, all the Noops will be assigned floaties and begin their voyage overseas. They'll be sippin' mai tais and pina coladas while gettin' caught in the waves, and we estimate they should arrive by the tail end of December/early January! TW: Inside out Noopy carcasses pictured below :P

Next Steps: I have been working on getting the shipping fees mapped out for all orders. Backers should be able to view their surveys and see what their anticipated shipping fees will be. If you need help finding your survey you can use this site here. Be sure to use the email you filled out your backerkit survey in, or login to backerkit for best success!
Right now, my estimated date that I will begin processing payment methods for shipping fees is around December 2nd. This will give time for folks who's payment method fails time to remedy them. Address Locks will not be until closer to January, and backers will be notified by Backerkit and prompted to update or make any last revisions to their addresses before being locked down. You are still able to update and make changes to your address at any time until that lock-down goes into effect.
CANADA POST STRIKE: As of this morning I have been notified about Canada Post going on strike, ultimately resulting in a complete freeze of all shipments outbound and inbound to Canada. Unfortunately, this does affect my backers as I intend to use Asendia which utilizes USPS and Canada Post. My hope is this Strike will end before we begin shipping orders in January. However, should that not be the case, Canada customers will have the opportunity to switch their shipping method to UPS. Please note however this has a caveat that there will be import duties due that are out of my control. If you are curious about your shipping options for UPS, just let me know and I can give you your options and your estimates.

Closer to August 31st/September 1st, a survey soft lock will occur. What this means is I will be making a final tally of all add on items, and any backers who do not apply their freebie items to their pledges will have them manually added by me at random.
⚠️Now that surveys are officially sent, the timer ticks down.. Similar to my other campaigns, I operate on a 'conveyer belt' systematic process. What this means is that in order for me to be able to fulfill rewards in a timely manner (and avoid anything clogging up or slowing down the conveyer belt), backers officially have a deadline to fill out and submit their surveys. I cannot ship your rewards unless you fill out your survey to completion. With that being said, backers who do not finish and fill out their survey (or any failed payments post-campaign not remedied) by November 1st (or when we lock addresses to prepare for fulfillment, whichever is soon) are subject to their pledge being considered a donation, and forfeit their rewards.

❓Questions about the collaboration:
“Is this collection limited?” Yes & no. Originally, this collaboration was a small passion project for my love for Gloomy Bear and I only wanted to make just a handful of costumes and a couple keychains for our discord group. However, the success of our backerkit campaign encouraged me to bump up the order and item availability. The costume is limited availability (300), and once sold out I do not intend to restock.
“How much are the items?” The Gloomy Bear costume is $20. The keychains are $11.50, and the tee shirts start at $25. The stickers are sold as a set of 2 per variant and are $6.50, and the phone ” cases are $20-23.
“Will this costume fit my Batty/Kandi/BonBon Noopy2 plush?”
