I think we were able to figure out the PDF distribution without surveys and successfully distributed PDFs via your BackerKit dashboards and DriveThru. If you are a digital level backer and you did not receive your PDF, let me know and I will make sure you get it. Also, if you were a print only backer and would like to add the PDF, I can do that through DriveThru by sending you a direct link with the discounted upgrade price. Get in touch here or email me at [email protected] and I'll set it up for you. We would normally offer the option in a survey, but we're not doing them. Speaking of which, you should all have received surveys from Exalted Funeral if you ordered physical books, or multiple projects during the campaign. I filled mine out last week and was really happy to see how low my shipping costs were. Thanks Exalted Funeral! I plan to have books printed and shipped to Exalted Funeral's distribution center next month, where they will be inventoried and consolidated with any other products you got during OSE Month for their mega-shipping-event. I'm not 100% sure when those will be going out, but I think it's somewhere around the start of the year 2027. I'll let you all know when I know more. Hey all--thanks for bearing with us through this digital file distribution SNAFU. BackerKit told me not to send out a survey to backers due to the Exalted Funeral mega-pledge-manager that is starting to roll out right now. But they also said that you won't get notified about the digital rewards without a survey 😵💫 They did offer me a workaround that they say should work, so here it is:
I added the pdf for all of the digital tier backers as an "instant access" reward, which means that you immediately get access to the file.
The only problem is that, since the campaign is already over, you will not get an email notification from BackerKit letting you know that it's there or where to find it.
But...they tell me that you can navigate to your backer dashboard (looks like it's under "Your Pledges & Surveys" in the main navigation) and then click on Your Digital Rewards to find it.
You should also be able to find the file if you look in your actual pledge.
I have also added the file to DTRPG and delivered it through the BK integration tool. It sounds like it worked, but, once again, you will not receive any notification from BK or DTRPG that it's there. You have to log in and look for it in your library. If you use a different email address with DTRPG than BackerKit and you would like me to use that one instead, please respond to this update or message me directly with the info ([email protected]) and I'll make sure you get it.
Once again, I'm sorry for the confusion on this. I hadn't thought it would be such an ordeal to get pdfs to folks with the mega-pledge-manager system in place. But I think if we ever do one of these in the future we'll know how to handle it better from the beginning to avoid this from happening again.
The good news is that I got the printed proof the other day and it looks awesome! I'm really happy with how this zine turned out. We'll go ahead with the full print run and get these things sent over to the Exalted Funeral warehouse really soon!
OK--it looks like I may have solved the pdf issue. The folks at BackerKit tell me that I cannot actually send out download links without running the survey...but that I should not do a survey since Exalted Funeral is running the mega-pledge-manager and it could mess things up. But they also said that I can add the pdf files directly to your My Digital Rewards library in BackerKit (you'll have access to the files from your dashboard, you just will not get an email with a download link.) I have directions on how to set it up, and it looks pretty straight forward, but it will probably take me a day or two to get everything in order. (It also sounds like some people are just finding the files in their DTRPG libraries once I add them that way--so you might look there as well.) I'll let you all know once the files have been added to your My Digital Rewards libraries and send some images of the front proof soon! Thanks for your patience and for hanging with us while we work through this system. It's a bit of a pain, but I think it will be worth it for everyone who backed multiple projects (or anyone who backed us internationally).

I'm also going to try to get them working through the new DTRPG integration--we'll see how that goes.
I'm expecting my printed proof today and then I will be able to make any fixes that need making before ordering the print copies. They will be sent to Exalted Funeral for the mega-shipping-event. I'm still not certain when that is supposed to happen, but I'll let you know when I find out. It sounds like EF will be sending out surveys this week, so we might have more information soon.
Hey friends-- I have great news for you: I just pressed save on the final version of Emporium of the Damned and am currently uploading the files to the printer right now! Once I get my proof copy I'll give it a final once-over and then we can start printing. Meanwhile I'll be working on adding in all the links, bookmarks, and other interactive elements to the digital version. The plan is to get that pdf out to you all before the end of the month :) I am still waiting for instructions from Exalted Funeral as far as shipping, but it sounds like we are on track to have everything ready and out to you all on time. I'll keep you posted when I find out more about that. Phew! It's almost time for a break!
