Project Update: Reopening the BackerKit
The Hastening Doom Pledge Manager Has Reopened!
Important news for all late backers and folks who didn't get a chance to complete their Hastening Doom surveys in the first round of fulfillment–we've reopened the pledge manager for another round!
While backers continue to receive their copies of Hastening Doom, we invite anyone with incomplete surveys to fill out their shipping details and provide up-to-date payment details. We'll be keeping the pledge manager open until July 13, 2026.
Once we've closed the pledge manager for the second time, we'll begin fulfillment of digital and physical rewards right away, and late backers can expect their rewards to start arriving the following week!

For all backers who were in the first round of fulfillment, we hope you've had a chance to dig into Hastening Doom and start your journey into our sprawling dungeon crawl!

Project Update: Shipping Has Begun!
Hastening Doom is Shipping!
That's right! All backer pledges that were received before the close of the pledge manager are currently being processed by our warehouse, and orders have begun to go out!
If your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping notice along with tracking details as soon as it goes out.
As we mentioned in our previous update, If you completed your survey and don't receive a shipping notice by June 12, feel free to reach out to us at support.koboldpress.com and we can look into any potential issues with your pledge.

Project Update: Fulfillment Update!
Greetings Doomsters – Happy Fulfillment Month!
We're dropping in for a quick update regarding fulfillment of Hastening Doom and all of the associated rewards to fill out your dungeoneering libraries.

PDFs and Map Packs
All digital rewards have been sent out to all backers that completed their surveys prior to the close date. If you haven't already done so, you can claim your rewards by logging into your Kobold Store account using the email you provided us with during your BackerKit survey.
Once you're logged in, navigate to your Coupons page and click your coupon codes to add the associated rewards to your cart. Finally, once you've checked them out, you'll be able to download them from your Downloads page!

Project Update: Thank You! - Surveys, Production Updates and Important Dates
Hark! The sound of kazoos buzz ominously throughout the Warrens! The crowdfunding dance is done. Your doom has been sealed.
In order to ensure your doom is not only sealed, but signed and delivered, we need you to complete your backer surveys. Surveys will be available by the end of this week and will close the week of May 19, 2026. Keep an eye out for an email notification that your survey is available to complete.
Please make sure to fill out your surveys so we can make sure all of your campaign rewards are delivered on time. We'll send out another reminder as we get closer to closing.
Going forward, we'll be dropping an update in the next few weeks to share a few sneak peeks and details from Hastening Doom, as well as keeping backers posted on production and fulfillment. We're expecting a quick turnaround to backers on this project, so let's break down where things are at:
As of the close of the BackerKit, all of Hastening Doom's art is completed and we're fully designed, edited and through layout!
With layout done, we're giving our files a once-over and then we're ready to send to press for printing! We'll make sure to notify backers when printing has been completed and the books are on their way to the warehouse.
That's right! Expect to see a delivery notice for Hastening Doom's PDF near the end of this month! As always, if there are any major changes to this or any other release date, we'll notify everyone here. We'll update backers on how to receive their PDFs, but it is important to ensure you've created a Kobold Store account with us here.
Make sure to include your Kobold Store account email in the backer survey when asked for it. If we don't have it, it'll take more time to get you your PDF.
Along with the Hastening Doom PDF, we'll be delivering your digital stretch goals by the end of May 2026. If things change, we'll be sure to communicate that right away. Stay tuned for the update letting you know an exact date, but in the meantime - make sure you've got a Kobold Press Store account.

Project Update: Final Days of Doom
We're entering the final days of the Hastening Doom campaign and glorious Mega Dungeon Month, and as we clear the final rooms and gulp down all of our potions for the final boss battle, we could not be more thrilled with how this project has turned out. Like a well-run boss battle, we're hoping for even MORE fireworks and excitement in the grand finale.

Like a well-placed trap, the results of our last poll are revealed with a muted *click* and a sudden flurry of violence. We Kobolds revel in an unnecessarily complicated mechanical death-machine, so we're happy as well, kobolds, to reveal one deadly surprise found within Hastening Doom. Don't slide into our DMs asking where exactly you'll find it though - the best traps spring when you least expect them, at least from the trapmaker's side of things.
Kobold Log Smashers
Trap. Of course, the kobolds have left traps along the entrance to this dungeon level. A pressure plate at the location marked “1” on the map causes four spring-loaded greased logs to thrust out of and back into the wall at random times for 1 minute.
A successful DC 13 INT (Investigation) check notices the pressure plate standing out slightly from the surrounding stone.
The log adjacent to the pressure plate immediately shoots out, making the following attack:
Log Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage, and the creature must succeed on a DC 13 DEX save or fall into the lake.
PCs attempting to traverse the swinging logs must succeed on a DC 13 STR (Athletics) or DEX (Acrobatics) check or be automatically hit by the log attack.
A separate successful DC 13 INT (Investigation) check reveals the logs’ pattern, granting creatures traversing the logs advantage on their checks.
A successful DC 15 WIS (Perception) check reveals a kobold trapsmith (see Tome of Beasts 1) peering around the corner from the passageway to Area 20 to appraise the trap’s effectiveness.
What happens to that enterprising trapsmith and their handiwork is entirely up to your adventurers, assuming they aren't immediately pulped by greasy logs or sent running. We've got a final stretch goal to unlock for backers in the last week, so send up the signal to the adventurers in your party that Hastening Doom has almost come to an end.
