Well, mostly! We need to pick up like 6 more zebra haunches from the storage unit, and we are going to be dropping off packages in the morning so not all the tracking has updated to In Transit, but! That's otherwise a wrap on Carrion Baggage!!! Thank you all SO much! I know the campaign struggled in the crowd for Pintopia 2025, and I struggled a lot this year too with exhausting challenge after challenge kicking my knees backwards. I'm really lucky to have had all your support and patience. As much trouble as I had I have to realize things did get there, and that is thanks to all of you supporting my business and all the helpful people in my life!

Many of you have already received your bags and other items! The rest of you that don't have a zebra haunch in your order (and most of you who do) should have received a tracking number tonight or will tomorrow, and you should see it start moving either Saturday afternoon or Monday evening. If you don't have a zebra haunch and still don't have a tracking number it is 1 of 4 things:

Christmas shipment deadlines have already passed, so please do not expect them to arrive before then. I'll be returning to all the tracking in January after I finish vending at Further Confusion to see how things are progressing. It is a very hectic time of year for mail services and tends to remain so until a bit in to February.

Before we continue I wanted to show you what's next for Carrion Baggage: Gnawesome Predators and Carrion Baggage: Second Bite! Gnawesome Predators is going to be my Pintopia 2026 campaign, and many of the mini meat magnets should look familiar. If you want some cool pins to season your bag these should be fun to pepper them with! I'll just share the ones with meats shown in this campaign, but you can see all the planned pins over at the launch party.

Carrion Baggage: Second Bite is exactly what it sounds like! I'll be making more bags in this line, starting with the popular Premium Cut bags that didn't make it, and now with upgraded hardware! There will be brand-new concepts up for grabs too. I'll share some concept art for a couple of favorites. We'll be launching in March instead of in the middle of Pintopia, which will hopefully give us a better chance of unlocking more designs!

Item changes/refunds:
Some of you may have noticed partial refunds or gotten alerts about changes to your add-ons. That's because between getting them and now I straight up managed to lose a bunch of the extra fulfillment items. I have no idea how it happened and after spending multiple days tearing my house apart looking for them I'm afraid they got thrown out, because I had them in a very specific box in a particular closet and they were simply Not There. My wife says she never touched it and I know I didn't, which leads me to believe one of us somehow managed to throw out the whole box. I'm pretty upset and can't really afford to re-order all those materials, so I went through unfulfilled orders and refunded the items that were paid for and removed freebies.

I'm really, really sorry y'all. I figure you'd probably all prefer to get the bigger items you paid for than have them held on to for months so I can save up for and re-manufacture a bunch of freebies and tiny things. If you paid for these things you have either already been refunded or I will have to reach out to you to find an alternative way to refund you because I was unable to simply re-issue it to your chosen payment method.

With any luck they will re-appear because the borrowers in our house got sick of them or something and I'll have a bunch of surprises to send out, but I'm not holding my breath. Luckily the vast majority of these things were just freebies.

Anyway! I hope these meats will serve you well for whatever baggage you have to carry through 2026! Are you ready for the new year? I can't wait honestly. My wife quit her job to do Lairbrew full time which is a dream come true. I'm looking forward to Lairbrew's 6th year, and our 1st year doing this together all the way. I have 1 other Backerkit plan to share with you before we part!

Deadweights will be launching later next year, but the prototypes are all almost done already! Some of you might be fans of the macabre but would still appreciate something cuter than meat. Maybe something weighted and cuddly with species choices both familiar and unusual? If that's your thing I hope I'll see you there! We'll be doing a collab with Living Biohazard LLC, I'll share more details elsewhere on that when I've got 'em.

Hey all! I'm writing from my truck in Reno on the first leg of my 3 day drive home after BLFC. I do apologize that this means I don't have a lot of pictures to share, but this is more to let you all know what is going on and where we're at with Carrion Baggage!

I'll explain all that at the bottom of this post, but want you to have the important info up front. I'm sincerely sorry about the delay, and taking over a month to get an update out. Please know I'm taking this very seriously. I've had a bad year for circumstances outside my control and I'm determined to keep things moving.

Some of you might remember that Carrion Baggage: Second Bite was going to be a part of Pintopia 2026. After some exciting talks w/some folks it is actually being delayed! There will still be pins this Jan, just as a separate project: Gnawesome Predators!

Carrion Baggage: Second Bite will be launching in March of 2026! It will have the 3 most wanted Premium Cut bags still, but it will also be getting a few extras that I'm excited to share once they're finalized. The bags are also getting some changes: specifically straps will now be faux leather and fully removeable! There will also be new meats, like a sardines in tomato sauce tin and connecting sausage link bags!

That's all the Carrion Baggage specific news I have to share for now. Everything on the backend is sorted,

The delay:
I planned to do all my fulfillment in September, which was meant to be my chill month off where I just worked on fulfillment, developed new stuff, and vibed. Then I cracked a tooth right after labor day weekend and it rapidly became a really bad medical emergency which I will avoid describing in detail because it was extremely Not Great. I will leave it at a cartoonish "my face exploded." This put me out of commission for WEEKS. I was in and out of the doctor every other day, narrowly avoided hospitalization, and was on some serious meds that had me unconcious for as long and often as possible. By the time I was able to function in any useful capacity again I had 2 back-to-back conventions and no prep ready. I racked up some bug eye medical bills in all that hullabaloo and will still have more to cover in the future, so I was not in a position financially to cancel and instead focus on lost Sept. obligations.

This has messed with my business as a whole too, not just this campaign. So I've taken steps to prevent something like this from happening again. We imported an industrial stuffing machine, are switching to a shop drop model, and have discontinued pre-orders on all plush we finish ourselves. All orders for my shops (lairbrew.com and our etsy) will be refunded if not fulfilled by a certain date, and the push for fulfilling those orders will be after I have taken 2 rest days max following our journey home. 

November 4th is the day after the order refunding deadline, meaning I will be dropping literally everything to start working on Backerkit fulfillment at that time.

Hello everyone! Things have been going smoothly, I simply haven't updated because I've been caught in fulfillment hell for a totally different, non-Backerkit set of plush, as well as the very last bits of fulfillment for my original project. So let me catch you all up to speed!

Fulfillment will begin soon! I will have to go at a casual speed throughout August as I have a ton of overlapping responsibilities right now, but anything left by September will be fulfilled for sure in that month since I am taking some time off from conventions. Things will kick off with orders that do not include mini bags since those are all we're still waiting on.

Fulfillment beginning means orders getting locked and cards getting charged for shipping in not too much time. If you aren't sure you're good to go and have the moment to make sure all your info is correct please do! 

Our next project is going to be Deadweights, a series of weighted creepy-cute plush!
