A collection of illustrated memo pads featuring animals being cute or doing cute things. Each 4x5.5" memo pad is hand drawn by Laura Illustrates and has 50 sheets to use.
Hello everyone! My name is Laura (of Laura Illustrates) and I have been an illustrator for over 10 years and a stationery enthusiast for... much, much longer. I have always wanted to make my own memo pads and this is my toe dip into the pool of paper goods. Did that sound cool? Can we pretend it did? Thanks. Appreciate you.
This project will start with 3 fully illustrated memo pads and seek to unlock over 10 designs in total. Memo pads will be on 70 lb paper, fully printed on one side, glued on the top, have chipboard backing, and be 4x5.5"!
The initial goal will be for these three designs: Fluffy Sheep, Big Manatee, and Blonde Bear. Each final memo pad will be 4x5.5" and have 50 sheets per pad!
"How big is that Laura?" You may find yourself asking. "Like a postcard-ish," I reply somewhat unhelpfully.

Please note that the "darker" memo pads may require a darker ink to write on.
This campaign will only have sticker add-ons to keep the timeline for rewards short! I have planned sticker sheets and washi tape that will go along with these sets in the future so if you're interested, please follow me on social media. I just love a coordinated set.
Stickers will be 3" at their longest side, made from high quality vinyl that is waterproof and uv resistant so you can put them on your cars, water bottles, laptops, and other things that may see some wear and tear. Stickers will come in a matte finish and these are just simulated borders but are an approximation for the final borders. Finally, stickers will ship in cardboard sleeves to prevent bending.
Stickers are not exclusive to this campaign, so do not worry if you cannot support now.
If everything goes according to plan, this should be a relatively quick turnaround for these! But this is the most optimistic of situations. If there are any extreme printing, cutting, or shipping issues, it may delay you receiving your rewards by a couple of weeks. But I want to make sure you guys get the best quality product.
I have run a couple of Kickstarters, operate my own store, and attend conventions. I am a real person and you will be getting a real product. Everything is hand illustrated digitally and there is zero use of AI on my end.

The main challenges and risk we face is bad cutting, poor printing, and delayed or lost shipping. The memo pads will be printed in the U.S by a reputable company. I will keep everyone updated if anything goes awry!
Once the memo pads have shipped to me, Jason (my beautiful husband and manager) and I will go through to quality check each memo pad and sleeve them ourselves.

Also please note that the images posted in this campaign are the full bleed images and will be trimmed around the edges. Because of the shifting in cutting, there may be deviations in how each memo pad is cut! The main images for each memo pad should be safe. I hope no one got attached to an image in the corner of each illustration... forgive me if you did.

The majority of the funds will be going directly to memo pad production. The second biggest piece is for labor, packing and shipping supplies. The last little bit is for backerkit and processing fees.
After the campaign has ended, you will be charged for shipping so let's look at an estimated price breakdown:
Packages will be shipped in a bubble mailer and prices have been based on approximate weight. I will use PirateShip, which uses USPS Ground Advantage. I wrote this in the above chart, but please note that shipping prices constantly change so this is a rough estimate.

Shipping fees are collected separately after the end of the campaign! Once you have completed your survey, you will be charged for shipping.
Packages are shipped from Maryland, USA After they have been quality checked and packaged.
Outside of the US? You will be responsible for VAT/import fees! Also, shipping will be around ~$18 and up!
