I'm Jess aka Loadofolbobbins, textile artist and illustrator with a love of all things nature! My OC Fred the pigeon loves nothing more than to Coosplay® and with the festive season rapidly approaching he's got right into the swing of things!
So welcome to my Coosplay® Christmas Pins campaign! I've previously funded 6 Kickstarter projects and a recent Backerkit project. Here's some of my previous work:
Initially the goal is to create a set of five wooden lapel pins and matching mini pins, each pin shows my OC character Fred the pigeon getting into the Christmas spirit, coosplaying as lots festive items. I'll be giving the community a chance to suggest further designs as stretch goals that will hopefully unlock as the campaign progresses. But first let's show you the first of Fred's festive adventures...
The first 5 designs available are Fred the pigeon, in a snowglobe, as a gingerbread house, as a Christmas tree, as a wrapped present and painted with a red chest to impersonate a robin.
• Each pin is 40mm at it's biggest point and each mini pin is 20mm.
•SpotGloss on some sections to highlight areas.
• Made from sustainably sourced Maple veneered MDF.
All pledges made within thefirst 48 hours will receive this free Earlybird glitter sticker of a Fred the pigeon in a snow globe.
All backers of this campaign will also receive a free sticker, of Fred the pigeon all wrapped up and ready for gifting, as a thank you for helping get me to my funding goal!
Returning Backers who've supported my other Backerkit campaign get a special treat and will receive a 2.5" sticker of Fred the pigeon enjoying a bit of ice skating!
I have a few ideas for other festive or winter themed Fred the pigeon pin designs but I'll also be asking the community for suggestions of what they'd like to see. These extra pin designs will unlock if we reach the various stretch goal targets!
£4 - One mini pin of your choice. £8 - Two mini pins of your choice. £10 - Onewooden pin of your choice. £12 - Three mini pins of your choice. £16 - Four mini pins of your choice. £20 - Five mini pins or Two wooden pins of your choice. £30 - Three wooden pins of your choice. £40 - Four wooden pins of your choice. £50 - Five wooden pins of your choice. £80 - All-in: Five wooden pins of your choice & three wooden pins (Reindeer, Mistletoe and Skating Pigeons)
All reward tiers have a special campaign discount applied. Each individual mini pin would usually retail at £5 each and each pin at £12 each.
You will be able to pick which combination of designs you'd like your pins to be at the end of the campaign.
There are a few add ons available as part of this campaign, that you can add to your pledge rewards. As this isn't my first rodeo with festive pigeon fare I've already got a few wooden pin designs that have been produced and are already in my shop. These can be added as add ons during the campaign at a special reduced price!
SHIPPING IS CHARGED AT THE END OF THE CAMPAIGN DURING THE SURVEY PROCESS. This is different to Kickstarter, the shipping is not included in your pledge amount before the campaign ends.
UK backers - Rewards will be sent out via Royal Mail Tracked 48 hr post (approx 1-2 working days)
International backers (NON UK) - Rewards will be sent out via Royal Mail International Standard by default, no tracking is available for this but it is a more affordable option. If you would like tracking added this will be available at an extra cost. Shipping times may vary depending on where you are in the world, official guidance says 6-7 days but it has been known to take weeks. Please note international backers are responsible for all import and custom duties that may be incurred in their country.

These estimates are based on current prices and may vary if you put on any add-ons to your pledge.
November - Surveys sent out, rewards get made and are sent out.
Surveys will go out roughly two weeks after the campaign closes. BackerKit has a short holding period before surveys can be locked and finalized.
Thankfully production of the pins is 2-3 weeks so turn around between receiving survey responses and ordering them should be quite quick. So please do make sure to fill in your surveys ASAP so we can all start enjoying our pigeon pins as soon as possible!
When you back this project you can edit your pledge throughout the campaign, funds will not be taken until the campaign ends.
Surveys will be sent to backers when the campaign ends, which is where you'll be able to pick which pin designs you would like. Once funds are released, I will be using the money raised to fund the cost of production and shipping of backer rewards.
