Hi, everyone!
It has been a while since we’ve posted an update, since everything was fulfilled a while ago, but we wanted to mention our current Kickstarter for WORLDS BETWEEN WORLDS: THE GRAPHIC NOVELS OF JONATHAN NKONDO, running now for one more week.
It features an excellent set of books by an amazing animation director and artist who has worked on projects such as SCAVENGERS REIGN, LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS, LEAGUES OF LEGENDS, and, most recently, the new animated short film/music video “The Mountain, the Moon Cave, and the Sad God” by Gorillaz. We really think you may find these books interesting! We certainly love them!
We have already unlocked six stretch goals -- stickers, bookmark, magnet, and collectors coin -- with two more bonuses to go before the campaign closes next Thursday, the 19th at midnight EST.
Whether or not you’re a fan of Scavengers Reign or Gorillaz, you can’t deny the charm of hand-made 2D animation, and Jonathan’s creation of the “Moon Cave” sequence in the middle of the Gorillaz animated short film is a standout. As a sci-fi fan, I think you’ll really appreciate these books. Don't take it from us -- listen to @matttttttt explain how special this is:

Back from France
Hi everyone!
We've made it home from our trip to the annual Festival de la Bande Dessinée in Angoulême, France, and I must say... it was awesome. Not only was it rejuvenating to get off the grid (relatively speaking) for a couple of weeks, but it was great to see so many friends and authors again. Unlike most conventions in the US, this festival truly is focused entirely on comics and the historic fandom that keeps the art form alive. No movies, no video games, no tabletop games, very few cosplayers (although there is a healthy manga fandom), just COMICS. The 9th Art. And it is heavenly...
We were hoping to see Merwan again this year, but he is already hard at work on the 3rd book in the ASTER series. These things take time, considering that he paints everything with traditional watercolors on board, so I can't say when it'll be done, but it's coming...! And you know we'll be here to bring it to you once it's ready. 😉
We have heard from a few backers abroad who have received their packages this week. I believe all UK/EU packages have shipped as of today; if you haven't received yours yet, please give them 5-10 business days to make the journey. Hopefully, you won't be waiting that long.
Backers in Australia and New Zealand - your packages should be on their way to you within the next week or so. Aetherworks (the fulfillment warehouse) is finishing one other campaign in the queue ahead of us, but they'll get to ASTER immediately following. I believe the Address Verification email should go out soon, so keep an eye on your email inboxes for that.
For those of you in Asia, your packages should be going out very soon now that everyone is back at work from Chinese New Year. I suspect they'll be finished this week, but we will get confirmation shortly.

International shipping update
Hi everyone!
Happy New Year! It has been quite a busy holiday season (full of ups and downs), and we admittedly have gotten super-sidetracked with everything going on since... We have been pushing for an update on the International order shipping, and finally got a report this week:
- All US and North American orders have shipped! If you haven't gotten yours check to see if your Backerkit survey is complete, or email [email protected].
- UK/EU orders have arrived at the UK hub warehouse and should hopefully start shipping out next week! Frankly, 2 of the 4 palettes were received a couple of weeks ago, but for some reason, the other 2 were held up in customs this whole time... we don't know why or why they were separated, but they are now all reportedly at Zatu's warehouse and they should be processed right away. You should receive an Address Verification email soon in case you need to update your delivery address. If we can get notice of that mailing before they go out, we will let you know. Otherwise, if you need to update your address, please email [email protected] and reach out to https://www.qmlogistics.com/contactUs.html with the request asap to be safe.
- AU/NZ order inventory should reach Aetherworks early next week, and they'll get those orders turned around as soon as they can. I imagine that should be within the next 1-2 weeks.
- ASIA order inventory has been received at VFI, but unfortunately, a lot of centers and carriers have already closed down for Chinese New Year, so these may not go out until they get back from the holiday. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have confirmation.
I know it has been a long wait, but it's nearly over. Things have been a real rollercoaster and minefield since Thanksgiving, but we're on the other side of it all and taking this opportunity to clear our minds for the year ahead. We have lots planned and want to make sure you're all pleased and appreciated for your generous support.
We're heading to the annual Festival de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême next week, where we hope to see many of our friends and fabulous authors (including Jordan), hopefully with a stack of exciting new projects to bring back with us! We'll try to be responsive while on the road!

Locking addresses this weekend! Shipping in December!

we will be locking addresses for shipping this weekend!
If you need to update your shipping address, now is the time to do so as we need to start getting the order details locked for our fulfillment warehouse. Our goal is to ship ASTER in December, ideally so you might have them by Christmas. (International orders may take a bit longer, but we'll have a better sense of that timetable once we have locked all of the information and gotten a schedule back from the warehouse.
If you need to update your address but aren't sure how, you can verify your current order address by logging into https://aster-of-pan-the-source-by-merwan.backerkit.com/. That is what we currently have on file and where your items will be going if we don't hear from you. (And if you follow that link to discover you haven't completed your survey, now is the time to do so! While we'll do our best to get late surveys fulfilled as they come in, we can't guarantee anything 90 days or more after this deadline...)

Digital files have been added to your Backerkit!
Hi everyone!
We're expecting the books to reach our warehouse in a couple of weeks, and the rest of the stretch goal and reward items should arrive around that same time. We're still aiming to be ready to start shipping in November!

We have distributed the digital files!
You may have already received an email notification from Backerkit earlier today, but if not, check your inboxes or check your Backerkit page directly. You will find all of the links and instructions on your personal Backerkit page (which you can access at https://aster-of-pan-the-source-by-merwan.backerkit.com/). Once logged in, you should see a big blue button in the middle of the page that says "Get Your Digital Downloads" -- click on that to see your personal links for each item ordered.
While the soundtrack, wallpapers, and sketchbook are stored directly on Backerkit, the books themselves are hosted by Gumroad -- you will have to follow the (simple) instructions to use your unique codes to download your files from Gumroad for free. 😊
