Project Update: THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY ELBOW
Well, holy macaroni, thank you for supporting the production of the third issue of WORN TUFF ELBOW. The goal was reached yesterday in 36 hrs! I am very humbled by this of course, I appreciate it.
And yesterday I went for a walk in the woods with a friend near UBC (University of British Columbia). It was nice and quiet but I was, of course, looking at my phone constantly to see how things were going with my crowdfunding here (ha, this was not exactly a pure west coast "natural world" experience). I was excited and surprised it was going so well. I mean, people have things to do and are dealing with their own stuff, pressing matters more important than this and things not even necessarily to do directly with themselves. Anyway, upon returning to my nay-bor-hood [sic] I picked up some GADO GADO (this was my own concern, to do this).
There is a number I talk about in the intro to WORN TUFF ELBOW #3. Number 52. I was sort of preoccupied with this number in my youth (as a teenager) and I would often put it in my art around that time. I was preoccupied with it because it seemed to reveal itself to me at very curious times. And quite often. I also wondered what I would be doing at the age of 52. Anyway, I was given a number for my GADO GADO order on the receipt and so, of course:
Yes, that's right. "I will be making comic books at the age of 52". I should have known.
I will send some updates soon about progress moving forward and timelines (as far as I know this comic book will still ship out in September no problem whatsoever) and I will also be thinking about what to create for the FREE MYSTERY ITEM (that will be sent to the people who pledged in the first 48 hrs).
