The Sun Gulpers is a fantasy gamebook designed for readers 12 and older, both as an accessible way to learn Shadowdark and as a storybook adventure in its own right. Sun Gulpers is the first Legendary Worlds gamebook. My long-term Legendary Worlds goal is a series of gamebooks where you can continue adventuring with the same character, gaining XP, treasure, magic items, and lore.
I loved reading Rose Estes's Endless Quest books, such as Mountain of Mirrors and Return to Brookmere, Dave Morris's Eye of the Dragon, Joe Dever's Lone Wolf story books, and many other solo game books from the 1980s.
My goal is to create a high-quality gamebook you can enjoy solo, and it also serves as a duet adventure where one GM can guide one player through a Shadowdark experience. While aimed at Shadowdark fans, you can easily adapt Sun Gulpers to OSE or OSRIC.
We're collaborating with Karla Adder Press, which is crowdfunding Beyond the Shadows, a Shadowdark hex crawl and mini-regional campaign.
Beyond the Shadows includes:

Our Shadowdark work includes the Iron-Aged themed Celtic Shadows, the Shadowdark hardback megadungeon The Pits of Brund, the adventure collection Woeful Barrows and Other Places, Rats of Ul-Gol, and several Shadowdark classes (arcanist, berserker, duelist, magus). We're also collaborating with Antidote Gaming and Pickpocket Press on upcoming projects.
Our D&D 5E Organized Play adventures include Chaos in the City of Splendors, Spears of Glip Dak: Four Adventures, Swords of the Moonsea: Five Adventures, Streams of Crimson, The Dark Hunt, The White Well, Blue Scales, Citadel of Vlaakith, Scales of Justice, and numerous other modules. Our non-Organized Play D&D 5E work includes Adûl, City of Gold, The Black Lotus of Thalarion, The Dream Prison, Ghoul Cove, Careless Adventurer's Guide to Hazards, Descent Into Mirefen, Temple of Misfortune, The Waxwyrm Bounties, and other publications.
We also created Westlands, a 2D6 RPG based on Traveller and Sword of Cepheus, and have over a dozen adventures available for that system.
DriveThruRPG fulfills PDF and print-on-demand copies. Backers receive a one-time code for PDF and/or print-on-demand (POD) copies.
