Hi all! I run Midnight Springs, a small business that's been active for a decade. I've been OC-only for over 7 years so all of these included designs are original!
I'm here this time to bring you online access to all of my in-stock gacha collections and blind bags, including Monster Girl Riot's first pins!
I'm closing Midnight Springs as it currently is at the end of this year, so that I can focus on game development, and then continue to do in-person conventions until I'm sold out of stock. However! My "merch bucketlist" for 2025 still includes one more gacha collection I'd like to produce by self-funding, mini (well, about 33mm) snake pins, and in order to clear up a machine for that, I need to really thin out the herd!
So by helping me sell out of more of these current pins and other artwork, you are also helping me accomplish a dream 🖤 The last of my garter snakes both passed away unexpectedly a few months apart this year, the last happening just this month. It's really killing me no longer being a snake mom. Half of the colorways in this collection are in memoriam of the garter snakes - a very fragile but beautiful and affectionate species - I've had over the past 7 years. My snake Cupcake would always wrap around herself (and me) like this, which was the inspiration behind the pose. Most designs are inspired by their names along with other fun designs, but you can see on the right I also included 2 more "realistically"-colored snakes inspired by Fitchi and Radix garters.
I'll for sure have them at conventions next year but I'll also try to get backers of this event a chance at snagging them online first!
Pay over time!
"Pay over time" is available for any pledges over $150, in which you'd pay in 4 monthly installments. This means you wouldn't have anything shipped until after all payments are made and survey is filled out, so if you aren't in a holiday rush this is a great option!
Cross-Collab backers (back Fantasy Fox Creations too to get!) will receive a new purple colorway of one of my moth stickers, 4" wide matte vinyl!
Returning backers will receive a 3" matte vinyl sticker of "hot cocoa snake" for free with their physical item pledge.
Early Bird backers will receive at random 1 additional item over projected value of whatever listing(s) they purchase. For example:
Backer A pledged just for a flat priority mail box. Their bonus item will still need to fit within the box but will put the included value higher than 2x the cost.
Backer B pledged for 1 "$30 grab bag" and added on 4 mini pin spins. They will receive 1 extra small item + 1 extra gacha spin at random (not necessarily the machine(s) they chose).
Above are just examples...there are many other possible combinations of extras received.
These incentives stack if 2 or more apply to you!
Lastly, if we manage to pass $1.5k in pledges/orders, the Gingerbread Snake colorway will be a matte 3" freebie sticker for all physical pledge tiers!
Gacha - short for the full word gashapon (ガチャポン) - are random prizes in capsules. The machines used to dispense them are gacha machines! They've been highly popularized in Japan, which is where the names come from. Gacha machines can be found all over in Japan, sometimes arcades are solely gacha!

There is ALWAYS a prize, and it is always disclosed what prize pool you'll be pulling from, that's a fundamental part of the specific culture surrounding them! So, while this could still be considered gambling, there is no way to come out empty-handed. This is not a raffle, every player is a winner!
I also don't mean to be a bit smug but out of the thousands of gacha pulls I've done at conventions since 2022, I've only had there be 2 customers visibly disappointed. Most get super excited, some have even jumped for joy!

Right now I have the pins from the first Monster Girl Riot! in stock, save for TV Cat and Gorgon who are actively in production, and those are the full-size gacha pins who will be available to you during the market!
Since I am still fulfilling the campaign for them, and several designs needed remakes, only seconds pins are available here.
Monster Girl Riot! Second Wave just ended last month and those pins are currently in production, so unfortunately they won't be available here in any grade.
I also am selling blind bags of seconds grade pins from the (mini pin) gacha collections, and standard grade pins from my general (p)inventory!
"Seconds grade" blind bags: You will get 5 flawed pins per grab bag, and the listing images are made up of flawed pins, so you can get an idea of what to maybe expect.
There are also ones where it's not limited strictly per collection, you would receive a random mix across all mini pin designs!
These are limited, as thankfully I do not have an endless supply of flawed pins, though it's still much more than I'd have liked. ALL pins in the example listing images for seconds pins are already graded out as being seconds grade. If you have no issue with what you see in the photo you are unlikely to dislike the ones you receive.
"Standard grade" blind bags: You can choose a bag of 3 or of 5 pins >25mm in size, where, if any, flaws are not visible beyond arm's length. May include one-offs of previously-thought-to-be-sold-out pins rediscovered randomly. Normally, my "full-size" standard grade pins range from $12-$16 individually.
OTHER BLIND BAGS:
Blind bags not specifically labeled as pin blind bags MAY contain pins! It's just not true the other way around. I'm offering numerous general blind bags as well as specific themed ones like keychains, stickers, or seconds-grade-only items.

Like me, you may be someone who'd had a terrible grab bag experience in the past...only receiving rejected items that never sold. Well, I do of course need to do something with my excess stock but that's because I'm closing my online shop for real due to my health. Not just because it's not selling! So while you may get some older pieces in your boxes, you are far more likely to get something <4yrs old. Everything will also be in new condition**, sans the chance you may get a seconds pin grab bag within your lucky box, or one of my remaining bat-shaped fanny packs (as they all have minor flaws unfortunately).
There are more than a handful of things that just no longer worked with my display anymore as I built up vertically over the years, so I had to stop bringing them to events, too - like my (extra-long) shoelaces, prints, tote bags, chenille patches...they're sitting packed up and dejected, but they're not rejected. Like everyone, I've had my failed projects over the years, and I won't be including those in these boxes. This is part of my merch shop's swan song and I want it to be celebratory, not disappoint anyone! 🖤 That's why each lucky box's discount is at MINIMUM 30% off retail!
*I can't ship to the EU. **As a disclaimer, anything on a backing card/ in packaging already from con stock or storage may have a bent/creased backing card/package! The items themselves will be fine.
For the Holiday Market, we are able to start the fulfillment process on December 1st, which means I will send the surveys out as soon as I possibly can after that date! That allows me to collect your address and shipping fee.
However, I am significantly chronically ill and I cannot guarantee that anyone will receive their orders from me in time for the Holidays, especially because I have no control over shipping speed. Please keep that in mind! The processing time I normally keep on my website, meaning also in-stock orders, is up to 14 business days. That will apply here as well.
I truly appreciate those who have supported me over the years, helping me through my little shop achieve many things! I may never have gotten much social media reach, but I've been able to have a lot of wonderful conversations with convention attendees and crowdfund backers. Trust is also one of the things I value most in the world, and that I've managed to build up a foundation of trust, and excitement for new designs, with so many people makes me a bit emotional! It's a bit bittersweet closing after over 10 years but it has to happen for my health.
I will still be here, just not functioning the same way as before. After my online shop is fully closed, when I eventually attempt to reopen it it'll just be merch/designs related to my game dev project(s). In the meantime, I'll be doing conventions to offload as much as I can, and very rarely producing any new merch, so I can focus more on my current game. 🖤
