What should we call this new set?
Right now it's The Outposts of Perdition (as suggested by our own Forge Servitor James).
Can you do better? Leave a comment with your ideas!
Luka and I set up and filmed a huge 3,000 point narrative game based on the story from Imperial Armour 4 - The Anphelion Project (think Jurassic Park with Tyranids).
Here are some images of a set up I did as a diorama representing one of the many conflicts that happened on the fourth moon of Beta Anphelion, all using the Outposts of Perdition terrain:
We've already raised almost $13,000 from over 100 backers. Thank you!
We've had some questions come in, so I wanted to clarify a few things:
Q. I want to buy a physical pledge, but I still want the STLs. Can I do this?
A. Yes, now you can. This morning I added the Outposts of Perdition All-In STL pledge as an add-on to those that get a physical pledge. This will allow you to get the STLs as well as some stuff printed from us.
Q. How will I receive the STLs?
A. We will fulfill all STLs through MyMiniFactory. You can signup for a free account here.
Q. When will I receive my STLs?
A. After the campaign is over (April 9, 2026, 12pm Eastern), it takes about 2 weeks for us to get the funds from Backerkit. At that point we will send out surveys to collect your MyMiniFactory usernames. We will then fulfill the STLs as soon as possible afterwards, usually within a day or two.
Q. What about physical pledges?
A. We can't promise those right away, as it takes time to print. And the more that people order the longer it will take. But we will fulfill them as quickly as we can. I would assume you'll receive your physical order within a couple of months after we finish the campaign, unless you chose to pay over time, in which case we won't ship it until all your payments have come in.
As we've been working at setting up the upcoming Outposts of Perdition campaign I wanted to make sure that this terrain could really work for Matched Play games of the most popular grimdark sci-fi miniature wargame out there.
I wanted to make sure that this wasn't just another pretty set of terrain with no brains!
I enlisted our resident Matched Play expert Skari from SkaredCast and picked his brain about how to make the best tables for games like Warhammer 40k 10th edition.
With his advice we came up with several ideas. Here is one of them:
A sample layout of the Outposts of Perdition
Obviously this table is unpainted, so it doesn't quite show off how awesome it will look. Also, we still need to print a couple more pieces to finish the buildings on the bottom middle and top middle.
As you can see, it will work really well for your games, while still looking quite thematic and narrative. AND it will store super well and not take up too much of your storage space.
And given how easy and quick it will be to paint, this set will be perfect for gaming stores, clubs, and in your home games as well.
We have more to show you, so keep an eye out, and make sure you follow the campaign so you don't miss anything!
Happy 3D printing!
