As you may be aware, the current US situation has made it very challenging for foreign goods to enter the US at present. For our campaigns, we will continue to accept pledges from US backers. We are currently looking into two options for shipping to the US from Canada.
Option 1: DDP Postage
One of our local shipping providers offers DDP (Delivery Duties Paid) postage. This particular postage uses FedEx, DHL and UPS, and the majority of the fees associated with shipping to the US (tariffs, duties, and taxes) will be prepaid. US shipping will increase to cover these fees.
Option 2: 3PL Fulfillment Service Within the US
We are also currently exploring the option to fulfill US orders with a third-party within the USA. This option also allows most fees associated with shipping to the US to be prepaid. US shipping will increase to cover these fees.
We estimate that rewards will be shipped around March 2026. We hope that US-Canada relations will improve by the time of fulfillment. We will try our best to keep everyone updated on the shipping situation!

🇺🇸 USA Backers Update 🇺🇸:
We have shipped out all US-destination pledge rewards. Your packages should arrive before the end of the 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs (July 9th, 2025). It is uncertain whether you will receive a bill for tariff fees. There is currently some confusion within the US on which shipping services are responsible for collecting tariff fees. CBP (Customs and Border Protection) may also open your packages for inspection during processing at USA Customs. We apologize if your packages arrived opened! 🙏
The US government administration may also decide to change the tariff fees and policies on foreign-imported goods on a day-to-day basis. It is uncertain what the tariff situation will be like in the coming weeks, but we hope all your packages arrive without any issues! Please let us know if you are experiencing any obstacles with receiving your packages. We will try our best to help!
🇨🇦 Canada Backers Update 🇨🇦:
The majority of Canada-destination pledge rewards were shipped using alternative shipping services such as Intelcom, ICS, or UniUni through ChitChats or Stallion Express to avoid being affected by the Canada Post Strike. A few packages were shipped using Canada Post due to limited shipping service options available or PO Box shipping addresses.
We hope all your packages arrive without any issues or delays! It appears that most Canadian packages were already updated as delivered!

To our dear Canadian backers, since Canada Post may go on strike as early as May 22, 2025, we will change our shipping service from Canada Post to Stallion Express or Chit Chats to avoid your shipments from being affected by the strike.
🇺🇸 Shipping Update for US Backers 🇺🇸
To our dear US backers, due to the current US tariff situation and the recent end of the $800 De Minimis Exemption on goods made in China and Hong Kong, we will hold off on shipping out US packages for now. We will prepare and package your Backerkit pledge rewards as scheduled, but we will wait for the tariff situation to improve before shipping them out.
If we were to ship out your packages right now, you may be required to pay up to 145% in tariff fees for your packages. These tariff fees are paid by the US customer to the US government administration.
In addition, the tariff situation may change on a day-to-day basis (similar to what happened previously in February/March). There is the risk that your packages may get stuck at the border or get rejected and returned to Canada. The tariffs may even increase during shipment.
It is not the ideal situation, but we believe it would be better to wait for the tariff situation to settle before we ship out packages to our US backers. We will keep a close eye on any updates. We apologize for the inconvenience and would appreciate your patience during this time. We are hoping for a more positive change to the tariff situation soon.
However, if any US backers would prefer to have their pledge rewards shipped regardless of the tariffs, please message us at [email protected]. Here are photos of the samples made of the Luna Moth Sword Pin (Backerkit Exclusive Variant) and the Wizard's Grimoire Pin (Dark Red Variant). So far they look great and we're super excited to see the rest of the pin samples!
🐣 Update on Messenger Bird Pin 🐣
Our manufacturer has mentioned that the space for a cut-out between the bird's feet is rather small. They will try their best to create a cut-out between the bird's feet, but if they cannot create clean cut-outs, they will use recessed metal instead!

🌸 Manufacturer Updates 🌸
After reviewing each pin design with our manufacturer, we wanted to share a few changes:
1. Changes to the Magic Dagger Pin:
Due to a spacing issue, the magic dagger pin will only have one backing post. We wanted to have two backing posts, but our manufacturer recommended using only one since it would be difficult to attach a second post with the limited space.
What is a backing post? A backing post is a pointed needle on the backside of pins that helps attach pins to clothing, bags, etc. Here is a photo provided by our manufacturer (the image on the far right shows the placement of the backing post):
2. Changes to the Bottle of Mermaid Tears Pin (Dark Red Variant):
For those who added the pre-order item, the Bottle of Mermaid Tears Pin (Dark Red Variant), to their pledge, we needed to change the design to create more space for cut-outs and clear enamel. Here is a comparison image of the previous design to the new design.
Key Changes:
The pin size has increased from 1.25 inches to 1.325 inches, screen printing has been added for shine and sparkle details (screenprinting will be applied on top of the clear enamel), and the glass bottle part of the design has been increased in size to create more space for cut-outs and clear enamel application. We tried our best to keep the overall look of the pin the same.
