Hi Everyone! Now that the campaign is over, we are jumping into file release mode. A few things need to happen for us to get these out. As we've been putting the instructions together and double-checking our work, we've also decided to make some changes and additions to the files. 

There is a lot in this update, so here is a summary:

Today, we are going live with our Late Pledge Frontier on MyMiniFactory.com. If you missed the BackerKit campaign, you will have one last opportunity to get the files at a 25% discount over on our MyMiniFactory Frontier!

When the Frontier goes live, we will add the button to the BackerKit page at 12:00 pm ET. The late pledge will run for 30 days, and then the files will move to our stores at full retail price. 

Previously, we thought we could drop the files on June 23rd, one week after the campaign, but we encountered a challenge while prototyping the files for release that needs to be fixed.

In some situations, depending on your build and trays, there was too much flex in the Center Rack, causing the trays to become unstable. What we didn't fully anticipate was how much certain filament materials and hot summer temperatures could increase that flex. As we expanded testing across additional materials and real-world conditions, we found a few instances where the Center Rack wasn't as rigid as we wanted.

Naturally, Jeff's engineering brain wouldn't let that stand. After plenty of testing, prototypes, and probably too much coffee, he came up with a new solution: deeper slots, redesigned Center Rack attachments, and additional support options for special situations.

We now need to update the instructions and tutorials to match these improvements, and we need a little more time to ensure everything works reliably in all situations. We know this means a delay, but we'd rather take the time to get it right than rush something out the door. Thank you for supporting us as we prototype, verify, test, and properly document these improvements.

Even with the improved Center Rack, there are still situations where, if you have a totally heavy paint-filled side and a totally empty other side in a Case, the trays can be unstable. We believe this to be an unlikely setup, but we still want your paints to be safe! Therefore, we have some new STLs to prevent this, and those are also being added to the files right now. You can specifically see the new Brush Support here:

During our file testing, we also noticed that some Rack Bolts tended to come loose under heavy jostling. Jeff went back to the drawing board and tweaked the bolts so they hold better, even though they're as thin as they are. 

During the campaign, Jeff was working on getting some barn doors working for Modi Case. We didn't get them done in time for the campaign, but the additional time to get the files out will allow us to drop these to everyone as well. You can now create a single Case and add these doors as a design option. 

We didn't get a chance to put these into a stretch goal, so we are releasing a wave of decorative bolts as well. 

Even though the campaign is over, the work continues. We are printing, prototyping, and building the demos and instructions so you all will have a great experience with Modi Case. We are sorry it's going to take a little more time to get this right, so please stick with us so that everything is released on June 30th in it's most awesome form!
