Pocket Cypher
$2571 purchasedThe Cypher Character Rulebook gives you all the rules you need to play Cypher. It also gives you the descriptors, types, foci, genre abilities, and so on you need to build and advance characters in the many genres it covers. It's a hefty hardcover, and not the most portable reference—especially for games where you don't need all that character information. That's where Pocket Cypher comes in. This will be a lightweight, smaller-format book with just the core game rules.) It does not replace the CCR—you'll need a corebook at your game table to play most Cypher games. But it gives you an inexpensive second copy of the core rules, and will be especially handy if you're playing a campaign that doesn't call upon the character elements in the CCR—like a game run using the genres in Cypher Decoded, or a forthcoming campaign setting like Numenera or The Strange, with its own types and foci. In addition to the book in print, this add-on includes the PDF.EditIncludes 2 items

Advanced Character Portfolios (bundle of 5)
$2329 purchasedA lot can happen in a campaign. Your character is more than a collection of numbers—they have a story to tell, details to record, and friends (and adversaries!) to note. This Advanced Character Portfolio contains everything that the forthcoming standard version includes, but is built with Cypher Decoded's options in mind, with things like a Pool for the optional Luck stat; a character sentence that includes the character's speciality; space for more detailed and fleshed out descriptor and species information; and so on. Just like the standard Cypher Character Portfolio, it'll be 24 pages and record all your character’s pools, abilities, skills, cyphers, and everything else you find on a regular character sheet. And it also gives you room for notes, sketches, character arcs, and details about those abilities. You can jot down thoughts about your character’s appearance and mannerisms. There’s plenty of room for details about the other PCs in your party along with people, creatures, objects, and locations you meet in your adventures. You can keep a campaign journal, or make maps and sketches of places you’ve been. I'll be perfectly sized to give you plenty of space within, but without taking up too much space on the gaming table, and printed in full color on heavy matte paper that takes pencil and eraser easily. This add-on is for a pack of five—enough for the whole party. You also get two PDF versions, one optimized for printing and the other in a form-fillable format perfect for using on a tablet, phone, or laptop.EditIncludes 2 items

Predation
$5520 purchasedA Cypher campaign setting! Welcome to the Cretaceous. Our ancestors won’t climb down from the trees for another 66 million years, but here we are now. Time travel seemed like a good idea. Exploring the ancient world. Building. Creating an entire society here in the jungles of our primordial Earth. Until those SATI guys messed it all up. We’ve got gear. We’ve got guns. We’ve even bioengineered a few dinos to our liking. And that’s good, because we’ll need it all to survive. History says there’s an asteroid headed our way, and there’s no one left alive who knows how to get back to the future… Sometime in the not-too-distant future, an organization called SATI develops time travel. The company uses it for a variety of projects, including exploration of the late Cretaceous period—when dinosaurs ruled the earth. SATI sent thousands of “commuters,” who often traveled back and forth through time, from home to work. They built permanent bases and towns to conduct their research, which spanned decades. Supplies and materials could be produced right there—in the Cretaceous—to avoid having to transport them temporally. At any give time there were thousands of people living in Grevakc, as the region that would become North America was known. And then the time-travel just stopped working. We're bringing back this fan-favorite setting of sci fi and dinosaurs in an all-new hardcover! Predation releases in 2027, and we'll deliver this reward when it's available (ahead of the primary rewards of this campaign). In addition to the book in print, you also get this title in PDF.EditIncludes 2 items

The Strange
$5535 purchasedA Cypher campaign setting! In the dimness of a chaotic extra-dimensional zone known by a few as “the Strange” lie thousands of Earth’s “recursions”—pocket dimensions that spawn from human myth, legend, and fiction. Rarely larger than a continent, and sometimes no bigger than a few city blocks, these aren’t full-fledged parallel universes. Rather, they’re reflections of human imagination—one might be the halls of Valhalla; another the sands of ancient Egypt; yet another the foggy East End of Jack the Ripper’s London or even the plains of Rohan. If a realm has been imagined on Earth, there is probably a recursion somewhere in our world’s shoals that represents it. These mini-worlds have gone unnoticed for millennia, but in recent times, a rare few have discovered them—and how to reach them. Some do so for the sake of discovery. Some for plunder. A few for even more nefarious purposes. Regardless of these motives, the rare but increasing traffic between Earth and its recursions has inevitably allowed forces from these realms to discover ours. For while most beings in these recursions are simply facets of the fiction that creates them, a rare few have “the spark.” Awareness. An ability to recognize that their own realm is limited—but that a broader, fuller world exists. Some of these beings cast ambitious eyes on our Earth. And some are very, very dangerous. We're bringing back this fan-favorite dimension-hopping setting filled with intrigue, mystery, and planet-threatening danger in an all-new hardcover! The Strange releases in 2027, and we’ll deliver this reward when it’s available (ahead of the primary rewards of this campaign). Numenera
$5516 purchasedA Cypher campaign setting! For a billion years, this Earth has spun through the cold reaches of space. All that its peoples have been, are, and will be has reached its unfathomable zenith—not just once, but eight full times. Each civilization spanned countless millennia, rising from the depths of evolution to heights beyond imagining, to ultimately scatter to worlds beyond, transcend to godhood, or pass into some other fate beyond imagining. As they rose and fell, the prior worlds spoke to the stars, bent time, and mastered form and essence. There is no creature on this planet that hasn’t been touched by their reshaping; no inch of its surface that hasn’t been reengineered, time and again, 100 miles deep or more. Even the moon—the planets—the sun itself—have been subject to their craft. But now they are gone. This ancient Earth is the legacy they’ve left us. Our world. The Ninth World. We toil among the amazing remnants of the prior worlds—some the scale of entire nations; others that might nest within your palm. How did these works serve them? What were they for? Alas, in this dark age, they are as magic. As incomprehensible as they are mysterious—and often as deadly. But where they remember some germ of their function, these remnants offer unfathomable power. Those with the courage, wit, and ambition to explore and master them call the. . . N U M E N E R A We’re bringing back this seminal science fantasy setting—the game that launched MCG! Cypher GM Screen
$3082 purchasedCypher is built to keep the mechanics out of the GM’s way. The players roll all the dice (and Cypher’s narrative tools don’t rely on fudging results anyway), so there are no rolls to hide. Even so, sometimes it’s handy to have key game info at the GM’s fintertips, and to keep notes and secrets away from players’ prying eyes. Printed on heavy board stock, this screen features beautiful and inspiring artwork. Cypher’s vibe is collaborative—so the screen's landscape format isn’t so tall it isolates the GM from the players. And if you want the info but not the barrier, it’s made to lay flat on the game table, so the GM can reference it without anything between them and the players. In addition to the screen in print, you also get this item in PDF.EditIncludes 2 items

Cypher Deck
$2049 purchasedA deck full of cyphers—single-use abilities with extraordinary effects. Because they are frequently encountered and quickly used, writing out a cypher and its effects on a character sheet (only to erase it half a session later) can be a bit of a drag. And pulling out the corebook to roll on a big random table can slow down the game. A deck of cyphers eases both problems—draw a card to generate the cypher randomly, then simply hand it to the player to be kept until used. In most genres, cyphers are intangible—blessings, inspiration, or simply a meta-game benefit for the player’s use. That's what this deck is full of. In addition to the deck, this add-on includes access to the digital version (including the PDF) via the new Datasphere Deck Tool. See the main page for more info on this innovative new way to make the most of your decks.EditIncludes 2 items

Manifest Cypher Deck
$2045 purchasedA deck full of manifest cyphers—single-use items with extraordinary effects. In some genres, cyphers take the form of potions or scrolls, or bits of inscrutable alien technology, and that's what you'll find in this deck. Divination Deck
$2551 purchasedA limitless font of GM inspiration and time-savings in deck format. The 50 cards of this deck each feature a divinatory image that inspires all sorts of ideas on the fly. Draw the Raven? It's a bad omen in the game, but the accompanying booklet also ties it to a cypher, a manifest cypher, a GM intrusion idea, an NPC, a creature, an asset for a player, a trait for an NPC, an interesting event, and even the upcoming weather. Tarot-sized and packaged in a durable, attractive box, this deck can be used as an in-game prop, an aid for the GM, or both at once. It's an awesome source of inspiration and ideas while running or in prep—yet another way Cypher helps you make the most of your imagination! NPC Deck
$2039 purchasedBreathe life into an infinite variety of NPCs—for any campaign! Whether you're fleshing out characters during game prep, or need a bit of inspiration when a game session goes in an unexpected direction, the 100-card NPC Deck helps you bring your NPCs to life with details of their appearance, personality, abilities, and possessions—even their names. Just draw a card—each card gives you a first and last name (as well as a fantasy name alternative); details of appearance, demeanor, and personality; modifications to the NPC’s level; and a distinguishing feature or item. The deck includes 100 distinctive ready-to-use NPCs for a vast variety of roles. Or create an infinite variety of NPCs by drawing several cards and mixing elements from the results. Either way, use them as described, or riff on the suggestions with your own ideas. You'll never be short of inspiration! NPCs in Cypher are so easy: just create a role to fill—shopkeeper, mobster, duke’s seneschal, street urchin, ship captain—and assign the NPC a level. With the NPC Deck, the details that bring the character to life are just as easy! And with almost no mechanical content, this deck is handy and inspirational no matter what game you're playing. GM Intrusion Deck
$2054 purchasedGM intrusions are part of what makes Cypher so fluid, fast-paced, and narrative-focused—and a real joy to GM! A good GM intrusion introduces an unexpected factor that spices up a scene, creates a turning point in an adventure, or throws a little wrench into the PCs’ best-laid plans. Sometimes GMs prepare them in advance, but often they occur spontaneously, where the GM sees a cool opportunity or a d20 roll results in that dreaded “1.” But coming up with just the right intrusion on the fly can sometimes challenge even the best GM’s creativity. At the table, or in prep, it helps to have a little inspiration! The GM Intrusion Deck gives you 300 intrusion ideas on 100 cards. Each card offers a combat intrusion, a social intrusion, and an intrusion for miscellaneous situations. Need an intrusion on the fly, or some inspiration when planning your game? Just draw a card. Or draw two or three, and pick the one you like—or just use them to inspire some other great idea. Save time and effort, and free your creativity with the GM Intrusion Deck! In addition to the deck, this add-on includes access to the digital version (including the PDF) via the new Datasphere Deck Tool. The Weird
$5519 purchased10,000+ incredible ideas that will make your game—any game!—even more engaging and memorable! A magical bow that creates snakes and looses them like arrows. A sorcerer whose powerful spells feed off their own brain tissue, slowly killing them. A man accompanied by the (friendly?) floating eye of a slain demon lord. A sword that inflicts wounds that scream. A gun that fires intelligent bullets. The Weird contains more than 100 lists of ideas, each over 100 entries long—that’s well over 10,000 (more like 12,000) mind-bending bursts of inspiration. The lists are organized by genre, so you can easily reference those best suited for your game, whether it’s science fiction, horror, fantasy, or whatever. Use them during game prep or on the fly to build great characters, encounters, or campaigns. And they're all exactly as weird as you need. You may want something completely over the top—or maybe your campaign is a bit more traditional. Not every game calls for the same level of weirdness. There are different kinds of weird, and they aren’t just a hierarchy or a matter of degree. They have different moods, different tones, and different uses in a game. The Weird puts every prompt into a category: Interesting, Surprising, Gonzo, and Whimsical. The Weird is an amazing game aid no matter what genre, or even game system, you're into. In addition to the book in print, you also get this title in PDF. This title is delivered early.EditIncludes 2 items
