Rain falls on a near future cityscape crowded with tall buildings, neon lights, and drones
Hey there Hackers!
The Hacker’s Matrix is live and available online now! This latest tool will make your journeys into Cypherspace more engaging and immersive. For those new to the glittering pathway of the ‘Net, let’s take a moment to see what you’re looking at.

The main components of cyberspace are nodes, frames, and conduits: - A node is like a dungeon—a collection of encounter areas with a common theme or shared visual language. - A frame is like a room or encounter area. - A conduit allows instantaneous transit from one node to another.
There are rules to create and also randomly generate these for your campaign, but you can also use The Hacker’s Matrix for exactly this. Choose your node level and number of frames and then explore them, encounter glitches, find loot and cyphers as well as virtual creatures!

Let’s talk dice!
We have now delivered just about every reward you funded through this campaign—with one notable exception: the deluxe Cypher System dice. We intended to begin production on those this past Spring, but then two things happened: the president began announcing tariffs, and we began serious work on the next edition of Cypher (more on that below). Tariffs threw our production plans into disarray as we had to explore new options and identify new vendors.
With the new edition of Cypher coming (even though it is a year and a half away), we want to ensure the dice are a beautiful and relevant feature of your game table for years to come, reflecting the current aesthetic of the game. The upshot of all of this is that your dice will go into production soon and they’ll be visually compatible with both your current Cypher System game and the future of Cypher. (The same status applies to the Deluxe GM Campaign Notebook: it is going into production soon and will be compatible with the current and future editions of Cypher).

Exciting updates are coming for Cypher!
Monte, our design team, and all of us here at Monte Cook Games are excited to announce the 2026 launch of a new edition of our popular, award-winning tabletop roleplaying game system Cypher. Creating characters is getting even faster. Launching new campaigns is getting even easier. Tools for creating the worlds, stories, and characters you envision are getting even better. All while retaining every ounce of the quick gameplay, story focus, and easy GMing the Cypher System is famous for!
Fans of the Cypher System are going to love this how this new edition makes your favorite game even more accessible. And the power, flexibility, and customization you love aren’t going anywhere—in fact, it’s getting even better.
(And don’t worry—the books you funded through this campaign will be highly compatible with the new system updates. Plus, you’ll have over a year with Neon Rain, Gunslinger Knights, and High Noon at Midnight before the new Cypher core books are released, so nothing is changing just yet!)
