Hello there fellow puzzle enthusiasts! I'm Morgan, the owner of Morgan's Escape's, and I love all things puzzle related.
Looking for something more exciting than your standard Christmas greeting cards? Want more than a passing glance and a thank you before it is put on display among a sea of similar cards? Then these Christmas puzzle cards are for you!
On offer in this campaign is a beautiful set of three Christmas cards containing escape room inspired puzzles just waiting to be solved.
These Christmas cards are perfect for puzzle lovers, they combine classic greeting cards with challenging puzzles for a sleigh-full of fun!
Each card contains a short introductory story asking you to help solve a crime. You are directed to study the card closely and crack the hidden puzzles. You are tasked with finding out five details of a crime by solving puzzles conveniently hidden in the cards. The cards include all the details needed to find the answers as well as a link to find hints and check your solutions.
In designing these puzzle cards, I aimed to stay away from traditional ciphers (e.g. Morse code, Pig Pen) so you won't have to look up cipher keys or any extra information. The idea being you can solve all the puzzles with the information presented on the cards alone.
The images displayed above show small snippets of the artwork on the cards and may change slightly after feedback and play testing.
I am thrilled to be working with an amazing illustrator - you can view his portfolio here. Below is an example of a Christmas card he produced previously and has kindly allowed me to share. This is not one of the cards offered in this campaign, but showcases his talent and gives you a feel for the cards you will receive.
Card 3 has been fully illustrated and play tested, cards 1 and 2 have been designed and roughly sketched out. When the funding goal is reached, my illustrator will complete the other two cards and I will share further artwork as it is produced.
Card 1 is an image of Santa in his workshop getting ready for the festive season. Card 2 is an image of Santa riding his sleigh with reindeer over a snow covered town. Card 3 shows Santa and his reindeer looking down a chimney into a decorated living room.

From Morgan's Escapes you will receive RPG-specific (optional) puzzles for your players to bring a new level of immersion to your table.
From Menagerie Press you will receive digital custom art pieces from Menagerie Press, commissioned for this Backerkit project.

One card has been fully illustrated, tested and is ready for printing. The other two have been designed, puzzle concepts tested and discussed in detail with my illustrator. He has kindly done some rough drafts for this campaign and will produce the full artwork upon successful funding.
The prices below are rough estimates based on Royal Mail's large letter size and weight limitations and assuming postage prices remain the same between now and fulfillment.
If you pledge for the cards only, it will remain in the large letter size and as they are light, should not go beyond the first price stated.
Each add-on game weighs anything from 100g to 300g and pushes the prices up at small increments. Over 750g and you are into the small parcel prices. Please note - shipping will be charged post-campaign via BackerKit.
I have an excellent track record of producing high-quality puzzle game kits and dispatching these on time to customers. I also fulfilled my previous campaign within the stated time frame. The cards have been designed and are currently being worked on by my illustrator. They will need to be fully play tested and any updates made before going into production. I don’t anticipate any delays, but if this does happen, I will keep backers well informed and updated as necessary.
