Escape the Lighthouse Keeper - Play-at-home puzzling mystery with two extra mini games

You have heard many rumours over the years about the abandoned lighthouse at your local beach. Legend says it is haunted by the restless spirit of its last keeper. Though it has stood empty for more than 140 years, a strange flickering light often catches your eye from your bedroom window. One evening, unable to ignore the eerie glow any longer, you gather your friends and head out to investigate.

On reaching the lighthouse, you find the door wide open. You cautiously step inside and feel as though you've stepped back in time. The interior has seen better days - the paint is peeling and the furniture is falling apart. You approach a desk littered with old papers: records of work, tide levels, a map, receipts etc.

While you are distracted you hear the door slam shut and lock behind you. You are trapped!

On closer inspection of the items on the desk, you notice they have been subtly altered to contain puzzles. Solve these hidden puzzles to reveal the code to unlock the door and escape before the ghostly lighthouse keeper returns.

There is an introductory letter which explains the game play and where hints can be accessed.

The suggested age for this game is 14+ however younger players can join in the fun but may need some adult guidance. You can play solo or in a small group. The game itself takes about 60 minutes based on players’ experience, skill, age and group size.

Postcard Mini Game - The Lighthouse Postcard is an extra mini game. It contains 3 puzzles, each giving you a word answer. These three words can be used with the mapping app What3Words to reveal the location of lighthouse featured in the main game.

Newspaper Mini Game - The Newspaper an extra mini game. The Lighthouse in the main game is rumoured to be haunted. Solve the hidden puzzles in these articles to reveal the NAME of the ghost, HOW they died, at what AGE and WHERE the ghost appears most often.
