Project Update: Smoke Test Surveys Sent
Only 5% of the backers in each pledge category will receive surveys, but we have sent out the first batch to make sure there's not a glaring error in the survey somewhere. If you receive a survey and something appears wrong, plese let us know!
Shipping will be charged later, so that's a known factor. As soon as we can nail down the weight of the books we will charge shipping.
We are also planning to start putting out some drafts for review, probably in the next couple of days. Our original plan (attaching them to a backer-only update) was foiled by the fact that only graphics can be attached to updates. So we will put them on our website and send the location to backers for download. THESE ARE NOT GOING TO BE COMPLETE DRAFTS. Just so people understand, what I'm talking about here is bits and pieces for the real rules-junkies and AD&D experts to pore over and comment upon. Regular users and players will want to wait for something that's at least in layout format, because these drafts are going to be like reading a Word doc with weird layout notations and even "notes to self" still in them. For those who love the minutiae of rules-discussion, they will be fun, but for everyone else they are going to be completely useless.
Also, when we do these drafts: our webstore asks for your email -- we don't add people to our mailing list based on that (you have to specifically ask to be on our mailing list) -- but the webstore asks, and it appears to be a load-bearing feature, so that will happen.
