Through 2025, Nat19 has created quarterly splash books for 5th Edition, featuring new options for players and GMs—now we're funding physical copies in both soft and hardcover formats!
Nat19 is a company dedicated to producing new TTRPG content based in its exclusive JRPG-inspired setting, Somnus Domina! We are a collection of writers, performers, professional voice actors, and improvisors who run live games in our setting with high production values and try to share a love of storytelling and anime/JRPG-inspired content!
Somnus Domina is a world that fuses both mecha and fantasy elements, which can house traditional adventures just as easily as space-faring or super robot ones! It is a diverse setting filled with in-depth factions, powerful artifacts, new gods, and rich story-focused set pieces. Everything you find in our books is geared to inspire fun combat and creative storytelling!
This project aims to print softcover (and hardcover) editions of three gold-tier splash books we made earlier in the year for 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons! We make these books quarterly, with help from fundraising from our community, but this project is not to make them… just to print them and get them to you!

Alternatively, you can purchase the full collection at a discounted rate. The overall price of buying them through this campaign is lower than purchasing them directly from our website.
If hardcovers are unlocked through stretch goals, they will be available as individual add-ons and as a complete hardcover collection.

Our 600+ page setting guide, Lyre’s Guide to Retia, serves as the foundation for much of the content we’ve created. It contains new classes, dozens of subclasses, hundreds of spells, feats, and over 30 new races. 5.19th Edition (or just 19th Edition) is a subsystem used in Nat19’s games and has received great reception from other players and tables since its release! Alongside many new base class features and a focus on modular character building, it focuses on new rules that keep players involved at every step of play (even while dying), new movement types and terrains, tools for both players and GMs to better challenge and test each other, and new conditions and mechanics. Most importantly, it includes the Legacy Trait systems for races, allowing highly customizable character creation!

The 19th Edition ruleset is entirely compatible with 5th Edition games, and its rules/NPCs/systems can be used discreetly and individually without fully adopting the entire system. It is not designed with the 2024 ruleset in mind; however, compatibility with it is at the discretion of the GM and their table.
Below are the stretch goals we’re aiming for with this campaign! To keep things streamlined, we’ll primarily offer items that can be quickly fulfilled as part of the print order. The only notable exception is the Compendium goal (see below); our goal is to get these books off the press and into your hands ASAP:
$5000 - Hardcovers
Hardcover copies of the splash books will be made available for purchase, both as a collection tier, and as add-ons.
$15,000 - 2026 PDF Preorder Lock-In
In 2026, we’ll be working on more splash books like these, which are made quarterly. If we reach this stretch goal, an add-on will be available for you to opt in and receive the PDF/VTT files for all our 2026 splash books (likely four) as a preorder.
$30,000 - Alternate Covers
At this tier, we’ll include campaign-specific alternate covers for the softcover and hardcover options. These will only be available for sale through this campaign and for a limited period on our website. You will have the option to choose which cover you would like through our pledge manager after the campaign is over!
$50,000 - Compendium (Softcover)
At this tier, we will combine the contents of the books into a single unified book, which will be made available as a softcover. It will also be expanded to add new art assets, a fourth splash book’s worth of content, fill in gaps in the existing splash book’s content, and create an entirely new book to ship! Of course, this book will be shipped later than the others, so any orders containing this book will be printed and shipped accordingly. This will not replace the other books, which will still be fulfilled.
Our products will be produced in the US to avoid the current tariff situation, though this will result in higher-than-usual production costs for us. The books are already made, so with the exception of the Compendium stretch goal, when the project ends and everyone is charged, we can immediately put in our print order, create our shipping profiles, and ship immediately. We expect to ship within two months of the project's completion (unless there is a delay from our manufacturing partners).
