Rats Attack! is a 3rd-party monster and adventure pack for MCDM's tabletop roleplaying game Draw Steel. It's designed to give you even more fun monsters to run. Both adventures are easy to run so you can fill a session or two between your bigger plots.

These are being playtested right now! We're just editing based on feedback to make sure it's something to be proud of.
A pillar of Draw Steel's design is: heroes should face heroic challenges, not mundane cliches like a pack of wolves or large rats. Normal rats are for ratcatchers and cats.
That made me think - what kind of rats would require real heroes?
Rats with laser eyes? Half-spider rats? A wizard rat with three heads? A massive rat king that rolls?
I had too much fun creating these crazy guys. They can slot into any story as a fun fight and fit any theme you need.

This project began as some stat blocks I made that I thought I would polish up and share. But then, the project grew in scale...
For over a decade, I've run games, built worlds, created monsters, and role-played sassy villains. With the ability to name things memorably and a dream, I learned a new program, commissioned an artist, and put my work in front of a lot of friends, family, and strangers to get any feedback that I could. Honestly, it's all worth it.
My name is Nate. I haven't gotten around to making a "games" name or anything. Just a guy. Nate Games? ...ah, someone beat me to it. Figures.
Rats Attack! is in playtesting and final editing. It is expected to release in June of 2026.

You can make more characters come to life by choosing the More Rat Art! add-on. We will work with Ray to create one of the characters YOU want. Any art add-ons will not delay the release!
