Project Update: What's the deal with the Lost Level?

The mega dungeon is even mega-er!

Now that all of the Castle Whiterock campaigns have been funded, the Lost Level is fully open!

Each pledge level for Mutant Spawn of the Toadmother gets you access to the Nerdronomicon lost level encounter 1-4: No Man's Land. Backers at the "Kick us a Buck!" level can add the Lost Level as a physical or PDF add-on.

The Lost Level

Pledge for the Goodman Games Castle Whiterock to get the mysterious map of the Lost Level of Whiterock, then, for every other Castle Whiterock project you support, you'll get full encounter details for one room of the Lost Level!

Pledge for all 13 projects and get the Lost Level, plus complete descriptions of every single room on it!

No Man's Land

In Lost Level area 1-4: No Man's Land, available with the Mutant Spawn of the Toadmother, your players will traverse a maze of tunnels—disputed territory for two brutal subterranean gangs. This encounter, for 5E and DCC RPG, can be dropped into any subterranean adventure, or as part of the fabled Lost Level of Castle Whiterock!

Project Update: Mold and Leeches Triumphant!

The contest was vicious, but the winners have been decided!

In a startling upset, Poisonous Subterranean Mold surged to the lead. Ravenous Troglobitic Leeches held strong for a second place showing. Early favorite Blind Albino Crabs were edged out of the running.

So, the two monster encounters going in the book, brining the total to 12, are Poisonous Subterranean Mold and Ravenous Troglobitic Leeches!

Fear not, though! The remaining four beasties are lining up for another match. All we have to do is reach $12,500!

Let your friends and enemies know!

Project Update: The Madness of Metronax?

Giant mutant frogs meet giant magical ants

Jordy Williams, the genius behind Wizards with Laser Rifles, creator of the Silam zines, and I are teaming up to highlight each other's adventures. His, The Madness of Metronax, is an adventure filled with magical giant ants controlled by a maniacal ant wizard. It's going to be unreal! We thought that giant magical ants and giant mutant toads were a good fit, so if you back both of our campaigns, you'll get a cool sheet of stickers featuring artwork from both of our adventures. Looking at what we have so far, art-wise, these stickers will be insane!

Back The Madness of Metronax!

Project Update: What is a Bobugbubilz?!

Wart-ridden demon patron of all slimy wriggling putrid things

Bobugbubilz [bo-BUG-bub-ilz], the Toadfiend God, is the slimy god of evil amphibians, turbid water, and slime. A chaotic power of mires and malodorous life, Bobugbubilz is content simply to spread his putrid offspring across the planes and let them multiply and sow discord and misery where they will. Cults spring up now and again in his wake, carrying out deviant rites and spawning new creatures in his name.

Bobugbubilz has been described as a whip-wielding, bloated, toad-like monstrosity of alarming size, with a rancid odor that precedes him. But, I prefer my deities a little more unknowable. I see Bobugbubilz more as an unblinking, eternal amphibian eye in a sea of rancid frogspawn, at the center of a perpetually exploding wave of tadpoles, pollywogs, toads, and frogs.

If the campaign reaches the absurd amount of $18,500, all backers will get a print or PDF poster depicting the Eye of Bobugbubilz! I made a smaller version as bookmarks (which everyone will get a copy of).
