Since you were one of the gracious backers of the "Dice Are My Vice" enamel pin campaign, I wanted to let you know about my next enamel pin offering. It is the Pirat Tales: Rat Skull and Crossed Swords emblem.

This is being offered as an add-on for the upcoming Pirat Tales: Legend of the Cat O' Nine Tails Audiobook, which will hopefully launch on International Talk Like A Pirate Day (September 19th). But wait! There's more!

Many, many years ago—sixteen years to be exact—I came up with an idea and wrote a comic book miniseries called Pirat Tales: Legend of the Cat o' Nine Tails. I didn't spell "pirate" wrong. For you see, it was a comic book about rats that were pirates, and it was about one of their tales, not "tails."

The infamous Captain Blacktail and his crew of swashbuckling rats set sail upon the high seas in search of a treasure equal to the ransom of kings upon kings. Many would-be plunderers have set forth to claim the treasure of the Cat O’ Nine Tails—only never to return. A young mouse known as Pip will find his life forever changed as he journeys to uncharted waters on an adventure with Captain Blacktail and the rat crew of the Vile Vermin.

Greetings, Wonderful Backers.

Many of you have already received your rewards of "Dice Are My Vice" enamel pins and any add-on pins that you may have ordered, along with the cross-collaboration "Dice Goblin" pin which you qualified. The few of you that haven't, do not fret. They are in the mail. (Or, they will be when they get picked up from the postal worker tomorrow.) So, if you're in the States, you should be getting them in the next 3 to 5 days. International orders... I have no real idea, but they're on their way.

While I've got you here, some of you (especially those of you who ordered the "High Roller" pins) may be interested in the upcoming High Fantasy—A 4d20 Roleplaying Game. The BackerKit crowdfunding campaign for that fun project is scheduled to launch on April 20, 2025 (4/20). But you can follow it now and be notified of the launch when it kicks off. We have pre-campaign stretch goals to grow the "to be notified" list and spread awareness.

There may be another crowdfunding campaign before High Fantasy. If you got a Pirat Tales cards in your envelopes, you have a clue as to what it will be. So stay tuned.

All of the pins have been manufactured and are in-house. So, there will be no long delay in getting them into your hands. The sooner we get the surveys completed and locked, cards charged, and all funds secured, the sooner you'll get 'em.

Hey, backers!

I finally managed to get the surveys working (hopefully) how I wanted them to with the help of the BackerKit support team. The first few surveys -- or Smoke Test -- have been sent, and if all goes well with those, the rest of the surveys will follow shortly.

In the meantime, the pins have been manufactured and I already have them in hand. This means, that shortly after funds clear, pins will be going out sooner than later. No long wait between returning your surveys and shipping the product.
