Curseborne is a game about being unapologetic monsters in a world where being monstrous is the least of your worries. In Curseborne, you play as Accursed, descendants of monstrous lineages lurking in a modern world that closely resembles our own. You rebel against the ancient feuds between these entwined families, as well as against the web of curses that bind you, while fending off inhuman antagonists seeking to claim — or reclaim — your power.
The Curseborne Jumpstart is set up to help you launch your Curseborne game as quickly as possible. Containing pre-made Accursed characters, all the rules needed for play, and an introductory scenario that you can use to launch your own chronicle.
We want to have this book traditonally-printed as a perfect-bound softcover and get it into retail channels to help Curseborne players launch their game. Supporters will receive their softcover copies before the books are sold at retail.
The Wolf You Feed is the Curseborne Jumpstart, an 80-page introduction to the Curseborne roleplaying game. Containing pre-made Accursed characters, all the rules you need to play, and an introductory scenario deisgned to get you started and give you plot seeds to continue growing your own story.
The Wolf You Feed is an introductory adventure for Curseborne that follows an investigation into the disappearance of Rosa Rivers, the younger stepsister to Izzy’s contact, Caitlyn. Time is of the essence in situations like these, and Caitlyn believes there’s foul play involved because she found Rosa’s diary in a strange place with bloodstained pages. She’s worried her sister is newly cursed or has fallen prey to a predatory Accursed.
The primary purpose behind this crowdfunding campaign is to enable Onyx Path to create a fully-developed full-color softcover print version of the Curseborne Jumpstart. With your support we create this 80-page perfect-bound book, which will be sent out as a reward to backers and then made available to game and hobby stores through Onyx Path's distribution partners.
Exceptional funding may allow the Curseborne team to add additional digital support for online play, possibly including token and map sets for Virtual TableTop use or themed graphics for streaming your game.
Beyond those campaign-specific goals, the hope is to do what these games have always done — build a community invested in each other's stories and shared imagination. Every person who participates is picking a path with the goal of bringing this game into the world, and that common goal is a powerful binding element that we can't help but want to share. When you back this project, you join us on this challenge and become part of our own lineage.
PRODUCTION TIMELINE: This project is a little smaller than Onyx Path's typical crowdfunder campaigns for new rulebooks, setting supplements, and deluxe editions. With this 80-page softcover. we're aiming to have the first Backer PDF out to supporters as quickly as possible after the campaign ends, and the printed book reward out to backers by May 2027 (or earlier, if possible). We are aware of the challenges that may arise during production, so have attempted to incorporate some flexibility in the printing schedule. Since this is a softcover book, we have a wider network of capable printing partners to work with and aren't as limited as with our bigger hardcover projects. We will keep you notified of the progress on these rewards through regular BackerKit updates each month, and via the Onyx Path website.

All participants who would like to make this project happen can pledge their support and add to the overall campaign total. If the campaign meets the funding target ($500), then we will have funded the project and it will become a reality. Your pledge will only be collected if we achieve our funding target.

RETAIL JUMPSTART PACK: Any retailer who pledges at tier will get 5 copies of the Curseborne Jumpstart softcover book (as well as the PDF versions) at a retail-specific discount so that they can sell in-store. CURSEBORNE JUMPSTART PDF VERSION - The digital version of the Curseborne Jumpstart, fulfilled by our partners at DriveThruRPG.com. Crowdfunding backers will receive redemption links for an early version of this book before it goes on sale to the public. This initial "Backer Version" will be used to get feedback from the fans to make the final version the best that it can be. When it has been updated to the final version, it will automatically be added to your DriveThruRPG library and available for download at your convenience.
CURSEBORNE JUMPSTART SOFTCOVER BOOK - The main goal of this campaign is to fund the creation, production, and print run of a softcover edition of this book. Note that all Pledge Paths that include the physical softcover version also include the digital PDF version as a bonus. Shipping costs ARE NOT included in the cost of your pledge. In addition to the rewards listed in each Pledge Path, backers can add extra options via the Add On menu associated with your reward format. Digital Rewards can be added to any pledge, while physical rewards can only be added to rewards lists that include the Curseborne Jumpstart softcover book, and will therefore have a shippable order when information is downloaded in the fulfillment system.
This is a small and quick campaign, and we feel we've set realistic goals. That said, if we increase the overall funding and support for the project, we’re able to add additional resources to the project, expand the rewards listed, and add in new offers and opportunities. Each Stretch Goal will have a target that, once reached, will add a project to the reward list for backers of the relevant Stretch Goal path. Whenever we achieve a stretch goal, the image will be updated to reflect the achievement.

Shipping has become increasingly expensive and is often prohibitive to non-US backers. Several contemporary publishers have decided to discontinue international shipping completely. For this project, Onyx Path wants to keep all options open to our customers, though shipping costs will reflect the expense.

Again, we will be charging the actual costs via our pledge manager once the books are preparing to ship. These are estimated costs only, and the final costs charged will reflect the actual rates at the time of shipping. At this time, there's a lot of speculation about what that may mean, but we have no real way of knowing until we're there. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
*Orders to Brazil will be shipped with tracking numbers once only. Should the order become lost in customs processing or during last-mile delivery within Brazil, we'll need full payment of a second order before any re-ships can take place. At this time, we can only ship books to Brazil.

Pledge to the campaign at the $3 Digital Start pledge path to get the PDF version. Later, if you want a physical copy, you can buy the Print-on-Demand when eventually released.
Contact your local game store and make sure you're put on a preorder list so they know there's demand for the game that they're being asked to fill, and then encourage them to back at the Retail Pack for this campaign!
Look into a freight forwarding service that can give you a US-based shipping address and get packages delivered to it and forwarded to you.
After the campaign is over we'll launch our Pledge Manager and invite the backers to set up their rewards via survey. This allows you to confirm your pledge and add on anything that you might have missed, as well as possibly increasing your pledged reward path, should you choose to expand your reward selection. Funding collected after the Crowdfunding campaign does not count toward any campaign Stretch Goals, however.
After the Crowdfunding campaign, in the Pledge Manager, you 'll be able to:
Review and update your Pledge Level selection - for example, you can pledge to the Digital Start tier during the campaign and then switch to the Printed Start once we know shipping costs and are preapring to fulfill the softcover rewards.
Confirm and Update your Shipping information - you'll be able to update your final delivery address up until we're shipping out the softcover rewards.
Pay for Shipping and additional Add On Options - we'll process payments for shipping costs and additional add-ons selected in your Pledge Manager survey when we get closer to reward fulfillment.
