I know that I recently posted our monthly update for May and I was expecting to have our next update for you in June, but I have just one more thing to let you know about before then...

The World never truly ends, it merely shatters. Each fragment giving birth to new possibilities, new futures within whole new realities as they fall. Every time the World is saved, it continues on in one reality while other possibilities propel forward into another tomorrow. When we sleep, our souls travel to other worlds and realms. Our imaginations touch the shards and run rampant. They are not merely dreams. These Mythic Shards are as real as the Divine Realms, and the realm we live in. All myths are true.

Scions rise as costumed superheroes fighting against the forces of evil. They tear across a barren wasteland trying to rediscover their lost divinity and restore the World. They are the pariahs of society, hunted despite their best efforts to make the World a better place. They explore the vast expanses of space trying to find their way back home. They attune to Divine mecha in a highly technological age to battle Titanic kaiju and devilish corporations subjugating and hording the resources of the planet. These are just a sampling of the myriad shards living and breathing in a reality parallel to our own.

Scion: Mythic Shards presents alternate realities for the World of Scion and provides new rules for players and Storyguides to incorporate into their games. Each chapter explores a single shard of reality at varying tiers of Scion gameplay. These chapters are standalone and don’t need to be consumed with the other chapters in order to start playing. Mythic Shards requires the use of Origin, Hero, Demigod, and God in order to play.

The easiest way to see if you've got digital downloads available is to login to your backerkit account: https://scion-mythic-shards.backerkit.com/ and it'll show anything available. Your backerkit account should also confirm all rewards that you should expect from your reward tier selected.

This is the first version of Scion: Mythic Shards to be released. The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.

With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the Mythic Shards Feedback Form!

Onyx Path will be launching a special Mythic Shards Feedback Form, which you will be able to access here:  <Scion: Mythic Shards Feedback Form>

Share your feedback directly with the developers using this form and help them guide the book through the next steps of production.

They are aware of the Page XX notations - those are left in to replace for the final version once any changes you've suggested are made, so they can reference the correct page if any shifts in layout result.

Onyx Path will keep errata collection open for the next week. Please submit your feedback as soon as possible so the team can get on to finalizing this file - and working on our print version as well!

They won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form.

After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), they will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.

OK, that's my final update for May 2025 for real this time! It was just a holiday Monday up here in Canada, but I know many of you are about to have a three-day weekend, so it's the perfect time to have a big book full of new Scion ideas (and some new unseen Shards!) for your reading pleasure!
