Why was the goal $700k?

That’s way too high, not even established companies like MCG always reach that , and tst you had over 1000 backers and made $160k, if your goal was a reasonable one, like even 100k, your funding would have succeeded!

Project Update: Rifts® Promise of Power Reforged Will Return!

Dear Backers and Rifts Fans,

We're just getting started. This campaign laid the groundwork, and your incredible support and feedback have inspired us to come back stronger, clearer, and bigger than ever. Join the backers who believe in bringing Rifts Promise of Power back to life on the PC and other systems.

How We're Evolving the Campaign. Simply put, we need to reconfigure the campaign. We've learned valuable lessons that will make our next attempt significantly stronger:

We want to show you MORE of our vision. Text descriptions of the original Rifts Promise of Power with a modern aspect ratio weren't enough to capture the full vision of what this game can become.

The gaming community spoke up. We've received incredible feedback and advice from industry professionals, and fans who reached out after seeing our campaign. Their insights have been eye-opening and will directly shape our next approach including pledge levels with physical game boxes ready for distribution.

You told us what you wanted. Crowdfunding is all about connecting creators like us directly with you our fans, with minimal risk. Many potential backers expressed that they wanted a base offering with updated graphics and gameplay that modern gamers crave. While many of those things were in our Stretch Goals, we will redesign the base offering around those new options!

What's Next: Coming Back Better

We're not giving up—we're regrouping. When we return, you can expect:

  • High-resolution graphics upgrade that truly showcases the modern potential of Rifts Promise of Power 
  • Comprehensive video content demonstrating gameplay for newcomers and veterans alike
  • Physical release partnerships we're discussing with groups that have reached out to us to help with how that would work
  • Your favorite rewards will return including the popular Glitter Boy Statue, themed dice, flags, and other add-ons that caught your attention will be back soon in other crowdfunding campaigns
  • A more complete preview demonstrating the NEW assets this incredible IP deserves

Palladium, are you there?

More than a little concerned about the complete lack of communication from Palladium. Last communication I've seen has been 16 days ago. For a company with as poor of a track record of yours, I would hope to see more engagement with the community that is giving you money upfront in the hopes that you'll deliver.

Apparently Palladium can't be bothered to post this update here in the community which speaks to many of the posts here. How can you expect to succeed at raising money when you refuse to talk to your supporters? I'm sure we'll never get an answer to this one but in the meantime for the rest of you, here's the email I received from Palladium.
