Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your patience over these past couple months — it’s been a bit of a ride for me 😅🫠. I’m really sorry for the radio silence, especially to those of you still waiting on your rewards.

Last I shared, I was out about $5k from this campaign thanks to tariff fees and a shipping mix-up with UPS. I’ve been fighting with them ever since (they have been truly testing my patience) but it’s looking like those funds might be gone for good.

To top it off, my day job went on strike after that last update, so my plan to use work paycheques to finish shipping had to be put on hold for a bit.

Fast forward to now — things are finally moving again! 🎉 I’ve got more freebie pins in production (I ran out, of course 🙃), and they should arrive within the next couple of weeks. All remaining parcels are packed and ready to go, just waiting for those freebies to tuck inside. I promise everything will be sent out — I haven’t forgotten you!

Hello everyone! 

I wasn’t sure how to title this update - I definitely don’t want to cause alarm! I want to be 100% transparent with how much of a struggle this campaign has been for me as a Canadian maker - so you get a little peek behind the scenes 👀

I sent out the box of USA orders last week, and I was slapped with HUGE custom/tariff cost totalling close to $5,000 Canadian. This amount was not planned for, nor covered under the amount the campaign raised. The reason I was dealing with the campaign this way was because I wanted to make sure as many folks as possible in the US could get their parcel tariff-free, but in the end it has nearly killed my small business 😔 

The next couple weeks I will work on protesting the charge and hopefully fix what went wrong, but nothing is guaranteed to be returned to me, and I could be out that $5k.

That being said, I will be continuing to send out the remaining parcels slowly, as I will be self-funding this portion. Those in the USA who did not update before the previous posted deadline will be responsible for the tariff fees upon delivery. From what I am hearing, it has generally been an additional $10 in most cases. In a perfect world, I would have loved to cover this, but I am absolutely unable to do so. 

This campaign has been extremely taxing and I’m so disappointed with how everything turned out 😭 I haven’t even had the time or energy to post photos of the new pins because every ounce of joy in this campaign has been sucked out 🫠

Currently I’m trying to find ways to recoup some of the funds, but I’m unsure if I will open my online shop again 😔 

Please be kind and patient with makers and small businesses as they are all navigating some crazy times right now. Even without the things that are going on, most makers are pouring their heart and souls into these crowdfunding campaigns and most times are barely breaking even.

This is the LAST CHANCE call to update payment, addresses, survey choices, responding to emails and anything else that is preventing me from packaging and sending out your order 📦

Anything updated after this point (and before the closure of this campaign) will be sent directly from Canada to the USA which could be subjected to tariff charges that the customer will be responsible for.

We are slightly ahead schedule (thanks to the extra pressure of the USA tariff... situation haha) so all orders should be finding their way to new homes sooooooon! ✉️

January 23, 2025: Pintopia 2025 launches!
February 13, 2025: Pintopia 2025 ends
February 14-28, 2025: Surveys building & Smoke Test sent out
March 1 - 15: Surveys are collected and manufacture artwork is being completed
March 16 - April 1: Manu proofs are approved and production begins
April - June: In production
June: Pins are completed, sorted and carded
August: Pins are sent out to their new homes! 🌿

Hey everyone 🌿✨

I'm slowly making my way through sorting and packaging of rewards - I've gotten most of the way through it though, and I am so relieved. Thank you for your patience on this - it's been quite an interesting time in the world 🌎

I am asking anyone who would like to avoid possible tariff charges on delivery to please update their payments and addresses AS SOON AS POSSIBLE 📦 I will be working on sending USA orders to my shipping partner in the next couple weeks. Anything that is not included in this parcel will be sent direct from Canada and subject to tariffs (and I will not have control over that 😔). 

Please update addresses when you can, I am hoping to also send these in the next couple weeks! 📦

There are two designs that had a mix up with the manufacturer - this only affected about 10 orders - I have reached out to them directly to figure out options. Please keep your eyes on your inbox!

Heya! 🌿

A small bit of good news! I have an (amazing, wonderful) friend in the US who has agreed to assist with fulfilment! This means if all goes according to plan, I will be covering the tariff cost of the big parcel I am sending to my friend in the US. She will distribute the packages so all you lovely backers shouldn’t have any nasty surprises when you get your happy mail! 🥰 I am beyond relieved to find a path forward, it’s been sheer panic the last couple weeks!
