Welcome to Centreville, where our America is white, white, white! The future is a beautiful explosion of good family values, a proper American town, and--
And that was true for the towns the US built around their Plutonium factories. They were willing to let blacks, Asians, and Mexicans show up to build the town, but they weren't willing to let them live in the towns that their labor built. And our fictional Centreville is no exception.
But even as the Hot Housewives Tarot explores the myth of 50s American Exceptionalism through its cards, and shows who has been hidden away with its Redacted 11-14s of each suit, the hidden America obscured by the cishet, white, Christian families of each suit's court... There's more we can see.
Missing America is a tarot replacement booster for the Hot Housewives Tarot deck. With 18 cards, it offers you queer, disabled, black, Hispanic, Asian, and indigenous peoples to replace your 16 Family cards for the four suits, as well as the Lovers and World major arcana cards. Even as America wanted to pretend it was a "beautiful, pure and white nation," that was never the truth, and we can peel that back at our leisure.
While this campaign is funding the new Missing America pack, you may still be curious about this strange, all-American tarot deck. Let's take a look.
In the standard edition deck, you get this great magnet flip open box (1) with both the 98-card deck (2) and guidebook (3) to learn how to use the cards.
The Hot Housewives Tarot deck itself is a 98 count foil set of cards featuring a gorgeous collage-style done by Amy Smith. The deck explores the Major Arcana in a reskinned approach, replacing any esoteric woo-woo nonsense with titles and people proper to Centreville in The Town.
Then, in place of Swords or Cups or Disks or any of that weird stuff, we have American values: Pies, Baseball, Future, and Bombs! Afterall, Centreville was built around a Plutonium plant to help America make bombs to defend us from our enemies and keep us safe!* Each suit also features a unique foil color! The Town has brown, pies have green, baseball has blue, future has silver, and bombs has hot pink!
And Kings, Queens? We had a whole revolution about that! Instead, we have Families, with Daughters, Sons, Mothers, and Fathers! And.. wait what are these? Red-foil cards hidden at the back of each suit?
The Deluxe Edition comes in a double sized magnet close box (1) and features the deck (2) and guidebook (3). This box folds out into two compartments, each with its own magnet close. The left half features the standard edition, plus a new Deck Tin (4). Then the right half features a tarot cloth (5), five art prints (6), a set of Oracle Dice themed around our deck's ideals (7), enamel pins and patches (8), and a magnet and gameboard divination board set (9)!

At this time, the guidebook is still being written for the deck. When it is finished, we will be heading toward manufacturing yet this year. A conservative estimate is around October, meaning we may well begin shipping before the end of the year, or we may be shipping in January/February to avoid the holiday rush and shipping prices.

Amy Smith is the artist behind the collages of the Hot Housewives Tarot, as well as the design for all packaging and extra items found in the boxes. Amy is also the incredible artist behind the original edition of the Normal Tarot, and the silver foil version in the 2nd edition. Amy is also the artist behind the symbol work on the Goblin's Oracle Dice.
Seven Dane Asmund is The Publishing Goblin, the designer and writer behind all things on this project, and the one running this project. Seven has also designed the Missing America Booster Pack. As a queer designer, author, and business owner, 7 really wants to center the importance of being openly queer at a time when it's more important than ever.

Refunds I will refund any pledges within 30 days of the campaign's finish date no questions asked, from September 18th to October 18th, 2025. After that time, no refunds will be granted for any reason, and if you choose not to fill out your survey or pay shipping on time, your pledged amount will be considered a donation towards the project.
Shippingand Fulfillment We will be charging shipping costs closer to actual fulfillment. On this project, that means it could be up to 6 months away. That means you are not being charged for it now, or for VAT or IOSS or any other taxes or fees unique to your country. That will be done closer to the shipping date. You will not receive your items if you do not pay shipping and any other relevant taxes or fees, and you will not receive a refund for your original pledge if you choose not to pay the shipping costs. This notice is here from day 1 of the campaign.
Fulfillmentand Survey Deadline Once the first wave of backer items has been sent out around the world for people who get their surveys and shipping charges in on time*, remaining backers will have 30 moredays to complete surveys to then receive their rewards. Any who do not dosoin that time forfeit their rewards, and funds they paid into the project are considered donations to the project. As noted in refunds, no refunds will be made at thattime for people who do not get their surveys in.
*Thiswill be made clear in updates when we know for sure that we're moving to shipping, and will be clarified in multiple updates prior to starting the 30 day final reward claim timer.
Damagedor Missing Items, Lost or Misdelivered Packages You will have 30 days after your package arrivesto you to report to [email protected] if you need replacement items or have missing items in your order. For packages that go missing, you will have 45 days after the item is sent (60 for international packages) to report lost or misdelivered packages to have us resend or follow up on the items.
Backersare responsible for providing proper and up to date email addresses on Backerkit, and for reading updates as they come out to inform them of this information and the deadline dates. Tracking info will be automatically sent to provided email addresses, and it is the backer's responsibility to followup on their packages should problems arise.
Backing this project is a pledge of support to the project itself, it is not the purchasing of items. I will be doing everything I can to deliver all pledged items as part of fulfilling this project with your help, and have a track record of a dozen plus projects of doing so, but there is no 100% guarantee that you'll receive your items with crowdfunding. By pledging you are recognizing this and agreeing to it.
