The crew of the Gruntgambit 3,000 may be the only hope for the scroffans: the humanoid pigfolk of Porcinex Prime. When scroffan astronomers saw that an asteroid would cause an extinction-level event in a matter of months, you wasted no time volunteering to search for a new homeworld. But when you are jolted out of cryosleep and crashland on a hostile planet, you learn you may be in greater danger than you ever imagined...
You awaken to frantic alarms blaring. Your world is spinning, careening… then suddenly stops with a painful lurch. The alarms keep blaring. Somewhere, metal whirs and grinds, electronics spark, and the alarms keep blaring. All you can see is your own breath misting in front of you and fogging your cryosleep chamber. After a moment, with a powering-down sound, the glass slides open and you tumble onto the floor.
