From beneath the ground to high in the sky, peaceful pilgrimages to daring adventures, stories are all around us. Bards carry those stories with them, bringing them to life again and again.
This hard enamel pin series celebrates those intrepid storytellers, combining myth with the mythical as each pin features a different mythical creature and their storytelling method of choice.
We're going spooky this time around! The main five pins include a mix of creatures voted on during the previous Mythical bards campaign and in a pre-launch vote for this campaign:

A cat-sìth, playing a pipe organ
A haunted, two-headed dragon, playing a courting dulcimer
A gargoyle, playing a lithophone

Our initial goal is $750! This funds the project and unlocks the first hard enamel pin and bonus backer rewards. The goals for the initial five bards are mapped out below:

Please note that these times are estimates and are subject to change! I have estimated the time required based on previous pins that I've ordered, but these can be impacted by any number of outside factors outside of my control. The timeline above includes some buffer time to allow for the unexpected, and I'm hopeful the timeline might actually be a bit shorter, but ultimately only time will tell.
I am committed to regularly connecting with all of you as we progress through this campaign and production so that you are in the loop every step of the way!
ON CLOSING DATE: It is my goal to get you your pledge rewards as quickly as possible, but I am unable to ship the rewards if surveys or payments are incomplete. At the closing date - roughly three months after survey rewards have been shipped - any incomplete pledges will be considered a donation to the campaign and rewards will no longer be able to be redeemed. Reminders will be communicated regularly as we go!
Please note that shipping will be charged during the survey AFTER the campaign ends and SEPARATELY through your BackerKit survey. Shipping is based on dimensions and weight, but some general estimates for shipping cost is below:
USA Based Shipping Estimated Cost: $5-$15
International: $10-$30
UK: Through Etsy after the campaign only, please use the UK reservation tier
If you are in the UK and are interested in the pins, please use the UK reservation pledge tier. No physical rewards will be sent through the BackerKit survey. A custom Etsy listing will be made after the campaign for you based on your choices.
I plan for shipping to be through USPS and will not be shipping to any country USPS does not ship to. Additionally, due to current regulations, I will be unable to ship to countries in the EU at this time.

My name is Amber and I'm a multidisciplinary storyteller (artist, writer, designer) based out of Minnesota. I've been a pin collector since 2008, a convention volunteer since 2015, and a convention artist since 2016. The first pins I designed and produced were actually for a local Minnesota convention in 2023, I designed and produced my own first pins based on my original artwork in 2024, and successfully ran my first crowdfunded pin campaign (Con Adventurers) for Backerkit's 2025 Pintopia.
