It’s proven to be a bit of a different beast — due to its oversized format, the evolving challenges of international shipping, and the need to fulfill both Issues One and Two in the most cost-effective way possible for you, our supporters.
We’ve spent a considerable amount of time researching shipping options and fulfillment workflows to ensure we’re making the best choices before moving forward.
The updated BackerKit survey is now live and includes options for how you’d like to receive Issue Two, which was unlocked as a stretch goal. When you have a moment, please complete your selection so we can proceed with fulfillment.
Our aim is to finalize surveys quickly and begin shipping orders by the end of this month.

Your survey link will be arriving shortly. This survey allows us to collect your shipping address and confirm how best to ship BLITZ —and any additional books you ordered or plan to pick up via the swag boxes — out to you in the most efficient way possible.

BLITZ turned into a bit of a beast. It swallowed us whole, chewed us up, and spat us out — but we dove back in, wrestled it down, learned a hell of a lot along the way, and finally tamed the monster. On top of that, we ran into a mess with our printer — the paper stock we were promised wasn't available, which sent us on a wild hunt for alternatives, only to circle back to our original printer. The good news? We landed on a solution that looks and feels damn good.
All that said, the magazine is done, it's in our hands, and it looks fucking amazing.
We’re already deep into Issues #2 and #3, set to debut in the new year — March and June, respectively — and as promised, Issue #2 is included for all backers as a stretch goal bonus.
Given all the production chaos, we want to get Issue #1 into your hands as fast as possible. To make that happen, we’ll be shipping Issue #1 first, then fulfilling full pledge levels with Issue #2 early in the new year — months before it’s available to the public.
Here's our reasoning:
Having the magazine already in hand and printed in Canada means we can get it out faster — and, for our U.S. backers, tariff-free, in theory.
The extra time before shipping Issue #2 lets us finalize apparel options and sizing, stock the Loot-Box store (new books incoming!), make sure all the goodies and tchotchkes are ready, and wrap up production on The Creator Universe.
Don’t worry — you’ll only be charged once for shipping.
Speaking of, "The Creator Universe" insert has been completely restructured and expanded — we reached out to even more creators and (because we're clearly masochists) decided to organize it alphabetically instead of tying each issue to a specific BLITZ release. That's taken way more time than planned, so expect Issues #1 and #2 of The Creator Universe to ship together with BLITZ #2.
We know we went quiet for far too long — the truth is, we were swimming in chaos and didn't want to come back to you without solid answers. Now we've got them, and the book, and we're back on track. We've also grown our production team to help with workflow and add order to said chaos.

First off, a huge thank you for your patience! We know we've been a little quiet, but that's because we've had our heads down, entirely focused on building out this beast that is BLITZ magazine issue 1. It's packed with some seriously exceptional raw talent!
📢 Since our last update, we've assembled an incredible lineup of international creators to bring you bold art, insightful articles, engaging discussions, and so much more. We have the fantastic work of Italy-based artists Dina Omut and Jute, alongside Mahdi Kheene, who's making waves in the NY indie scene, plus many other contributors—including the promised legendary Jim Mahfood, Shawn Crystal, and Karl Kerschl—plus we've got a few surprises in store, which we'll share more about in the coming weeks.
🎁 Also, the former insert 'Creator Universe' gets an Upgrade!
Instead of being bound within the magazine, the "Creator Universe" section will now come as a separately printed special edition included in a collector's treasure trove of extras. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible creators, we're stuffing this grab bag with original comics, postcards, posters, stickers, and more exclusive goodies!
📆 Printing & Fulfillment Timeline — we're officially on the books to take BLITZ to print in May, and we're printing locally here in Canada, which means fulfillment will begin by late May or early June. We know it's been a journey, but trust us—it'll be worth the wait!
BLITZ has evolved into something much bigger than we originally conceived — and we're trying to make it as unique, memorable, and purposeful as possible. The extra time you, our amazing backers, have afforded us has helped us achieve this. Thank you for your support and patience.

I received my package yesterday and opened it today, and was disappointed to see that the "limited edition" screen print is different from the one advertised and is also not numbered, like you said it would be. This Kickstarter has been one disappointment after another. I was so ready to finally have it over with, but now there's this.
