Ruttigers Almanac is an OSR-compatible tabletop roleplaying game system that combines frenetic, fun mechanics with a clutch of mini-games to bring chaos to your table, alongside an expansive setting to explore and plunder.
It started, like most good adventures, with a slightly reckless idea.
After years working on D&D and Magic: The Gathering, I decided it was time to stop building worlds for other people and start making one with friends. So I did what any sensible adventurer would do. I formed a party.
Matt the mad magus joined first, followed by Clark the dangerously erudite bard, and Pat the grim fighter who probably should not be left unsupervised. Three old friends of 40 years, all brave enough or foolish enough to say yes. Armed with dice, wild ideas, and just enough experience to be dangerous, we got to work.
Of course, even the best parties need a guild backing them, so we teamed up with Cawood Publishing to face the true endgame bosses: crowdfunding, printing, and fulfillment. Andrew the sorcerer was recruited, and things immediately got more professional.
And now, we are forging our little dream into something real, for us and for all of you.
