Project Update: [Sisters of the Dawn] - One week to go! Background on "The Fall"
We've been making steady progress to our next stretch goal - thank you! I super appreciate everyone who's talked about the game, shared it with friends and family, and of course, backed it.
As you likely know, the poll (attached below) is leaning towards a historic campaign, but it's very close! I'll close the poll next Monday, so if you'd rather a post-Fall campaign, or a contemporary one, this is your last call to give your input towards the bonus adventure's time period.
Also, some folks have asked me about what exactly is the event that causes the apocalyptic event known as the Fall, and it so happens that there's an entire short story about it.
I hope you have a good weekend and enjoy the story!
Cheer, Rick
PS - The story is for backers only, so if you haven't backed, now is a great time to unlock the tale of Kat, the Chronomancer.
PPS - Kat is canonically the ONLY witch who has the ability to manipulate, slow, and move outside of time. Which is why chronomancy is not an option in the game, and she's been tasked with a singular goal to focus on.

Project Update: [Sisters of the Dawn] - Addressing the controversy / poll reminder
So you may or may not have seen this video where the Order of the Dark Wheel is apparently not too happy with the TTRPG that we're making, and I wanted to address some of the points directly.
If you'd like to watch the full apology video, you can find it on Instagram or on TikTok.
Firstly, for legal reasons, I've been advised to let you know that while the idea of throwing fireballs and using magic against ICE agents is indeed part of the allure of this game, I do need to clarify that the contemporary adventure that is packaged with the game is a situation where a rogue branch of the Order doing the protest agitating.
I did not mean to imply that the Order of the Dark Wheel, as a whole, has anything to do with the police state, nor with white supremacy organizations.
I fully understand that the Order of the Dark Wheel is an anti-racist, anti-fascist organization that, while may be trying to exterminate life on earth by summoning hordes of demons, is devoted to improving the world in the meantime and welcomes anyone into their fold, regardless of race, class, ethnic background, gender, ability, age, or immigration status, especially given their nature as an international organization.
I've been explicitly asked to point people towards this phrase in the Order handbook:
...[D]iscrimination is not allowed here at the Order. We invite members of all nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, class, ability, age, gender, and sexual orientation to join.
I'm sorry to all the Order members who feel maligned by the copy written on the BackerKit campaign page, and I will update it over the weekend to reflect the fact that the agitators are a rogue group of Order members.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and if you haven't yet backed, now is a great time to do so, as any additional funds will go towards any legal expenses in terms of dealing with the Order.
Otherwise, Happy Friday the 13th and I hope you all have a safe and awesome weekend.
Cheers,
Rick

Project Update: Stretch Goal 2 unlocked! Secret Stretch Goals Announced!
Big thanks to all of you for pushing us over stretch goal #2! Thanks to your combined powers there will now there will be a separate adventure module (both available digitally and as a print copy) added to both the add-ons as well as to the stretch goal cache of bonuses! If you're a backer, PLEASE fill out the poll - it'll help me decide which epoch to set the adventure in.
So just to be clear - if you've backed at the Battle-Ready tier or higher, you will not have to add any of the add-ons to your rewards. You'll automatically get the rewards (the enamel pin and the print and digital copy of the adventure module) added to your package when it ships.
I mention this because for the third stretch goal - at $1500 - I'll be adding a copy of the character sheet pad to all physical tiers!!
This means that if you get the stretch goal rewards as part of your pledge tier, you'll be receiving TWO copies of the character sheet pad - enough to create a whole army of witches to battle the Order of the Dark Wheel. If you've backed where you're not currently getting the character sheets but are getting a physical copy, you'll get a character sheet pad added.
I also have unveiled all of the current stretch goals:
$1,200 - Bonus adventure zine - UNLOCKED
$1,500 - +1 Character sheet pad with all print editions
$1,700 - Set of 20 D6 dice
$2,000 - Witch portrait sticker set
$2,500 - Dice upgraded to custom dice
$2,700 - Extra adventure added to the adventure zine
The Witch Portrait sticker set is based on a mechanic I saw in Pandemic Legacy: Season 0 - where there are stickers with base heads and clear stickers of accessories and clothes that you can layer on top of the base illustration.
The sticker set will be a sheet of base heads with various hair, hats, piercings, etc. to help illustrate your character sheets.
The custom dice will replace the 6 pips with the Sisters of the Dawn sigil, and while I'm still working with a dice factory to figure everything out, I'm hoping for something similar to this:
Anyway, thanks so much again, and the easiest way for us to get to the custom dice is to tell your friends!
Please share the project to any folks you think would be into it. Thanks again and if you haven't backed yet, there's no better time than now!
Cheers,
Rick

Project Update: Sisters of the Dawn - Stretch Goal 2 poll!
So exciting! We've unlocked the first stretch goal - I'm already polishing up the design file for the enamel pin that's going out to every backer in the Battle-Ready pledge tier or higher!
I've also added it to the add-ons, so if you don't already have the "all stretch goals" reward, you can add on a coven pin!
Also, we're very very close to the second stretch goal, which is an additional adventure!
Since the base game comes with three adventures, one in each epoch, I can't decide what I want to do for this fourth adventure. And when I can't decide something, I'll leave it up to you!
Do you want your witches to navigate (and upend) patriarchy in the past, the present, or in the post-apocalyptic future? Jump into the new poll and let me know what epoch you want the fourth adventure to be set in.
Thanks again!

Project Update: Sisters of the Dawn is Funded! 24 left for early bird + early bird poll!
OMG, you did it! I woke up to a notification that we hit our initial funding goal in under 24 hours! Thanks so much!
Our first stretch goal at $1000 is the Sisters of the Dawn sigil enamel pin. It'll be 1", hard enamel pin to match the Order of the Dark Wheel pin.
The pin will be the enamel pin translation of the above sigil - meaning that some of the nice texture above will have to disappear, but it'll be perfect to subtly show your coven membership to others.
Once we hit this goal, not only will it be a new add-on, but for everyone who backed at the Battle-Ready Bundle tier or higher will get one automatically included in their rewards! Exciting!
I also wanted to remind folks that you've got 24 hours left to get in on an early-bird pledge. Keep in mind your card won't be charged until February 27th when the campaign ends. The first 48 hours are the most important for any crowdfunding campaign, so to reward your early allegiance to the Sisters of the Dawn, you'll get a digital art pack with a ton of witches that you can use to inspire your characters in the game.
They'll be sized to print at both their original size I made them, as well as cropped/resized to 2" to fit in the profile box on the character sheets for easy printing.
I'll be creating more portraits for the digital art pack than this, but I wanted to give you a sense of the variety of styles and inspiration that I'll be sharing in the pack.
That said, I tend to lean towards a lot of supernatural elements in my witch illustrations - they might not make the most sense for anything besides Post-Fall adventures. Although I'm guessing maybe they mask as normies using light magic to keep up a glamour?
So let me know what kind of illustrations you prefer, and I'll start skewing that way. Normal, everyday women? Badass goth ladies? Monstrous women transformed by dark magic? Looser, more expressionistic painting? Traditional, realistic rendering? Cartoony?
You tell me - backers, hit up this poll to give me your thoughts, and/or drop your preferences in the comments!
Thanks so much again!
Cheers,
Rick
