Updates

I got mixed feedback about the syrup color. Facebook people loved it, Discord people did not.

I think the screenprint looks good but the syrup just seems to be the only thing people can't agree on. My original design involved a much lighter syrup color (Pantones rarely match digital art exactly).

Edit: 4/23/2026: The poll only refers to the existing sample in front of the green bushes. Do you like this and can we proceed with it? If not, are you wanting the syrup to be darker or lighter? I am not going to be debating syrup colors because they exist in a range.
 
I also realized I think the second from top pancake needs to be a little lighter. That can be fixed in production. Added some other older photos for reference since I am slow on this. I told my manufacturer I would get back to them on this once I discussed things with everyone (here, discord, FB).

Not a ton of progress photos but here are what I was able to get so far.

As far as the bearded dragon sample, I may try and do a second version if I can afford it with a darker syrup. The majority of people between Facebook and discord were pretty happy with the more recent version. I asked for them to see how the screenprint looks next to see if we need to make any adjustments there or not.

Alright here are the new pics (there is a video but I can't post videos here). Obviously we can only get so close to the original design color wise. It looks less like pee at least. I can't recall if I updated the base color.

I feel like they can make it less transparent to get both the color I want and the effect I want still. I'll adjust it again and see what it comes out to be. I'm still sick (I swear I thought colds did NOT last this long??) so I'll send my corrections over later this afternoon once I've gotten some proper sleep and have a chance to check the colors again.

I do think I like the base color more than I did previously at least. I will have them verify the base color matches the 2009 I changed it to as well.

I'm just waiting on any photo updates. I have been sick since Anime Detour ended and need to start a few more of the designs, but I will get that done after taxes at this point just because of the timing. 

Still waiting on a revised sample as well for the bearded dragon. I just know there hasn't been an update in a bit. The same manufacturer also has my Frankencorgi pin designs, so I also haven't really had any photo updates for that since the samples.

The nugget dragon still needs a vector (I believe I got the berry one vectored last year) so I will submit those two and the snake to start together once I get the nugget dragon vector caught up. I only have one show this month.

Hopefully there will be some photo updates soon either way so we have something exciting to look at while we wait.

The Ordering Game Plan
I'm ordering a few designs at a time each week until my new products come in (frankencorgi keychains & hair claws) so I actually have something new to sell. Each large pin design is about $1400 each. 

So I will start 3 of the large pins this week (I wanted to last night but I fell asleep before my manufacturer responded to me lol) since they take longer and cost more, then probably a few more after Anime Detour at the end of this month. I think the pins I already ordered (the freebies) were about $1800 but I had ordered those last year before falling so behind. The three dragons will take 2 months production.

There are 5 large dragons (Nuggets, Waffle, 3 Sandwiches), 1 large bearded dragon (was planned at 2 inches but had to be increased for details to 3 inches), 9 small sauce pins and 1 small snake.

I would like to note I am reworking the bearded dragon sample so the colors more accurately reflect what I had originally planned so that will probably be the most delayed design of the bunch. I may completely remove transparent syrup and just go with a solid color since it has screenprint anyways.

I will update you guys with photos of all the things as I receive them either way.

Orders In Progress
I'm dumb for forgetting this project for so long, but you'll get your pins. I'm working through the orders one by one and setting aside existing add-on/freebie pins & stickers into their respective packages and putting them in a box dedicated to this project. This is more of a note so if you see me selling stuff you understand that it's not your items being sold.

Also definitely realizing I can't sell 3-3.5 inch pins for $15 in future projects. It's just not sustainable. I tried to ignore all the costs of tariffs, shipping increases and pin cost increases but oh well lol. I think it's finally catching up to me now. Boo.

I decided to change the width of the burger dragons to 3inch instead of the height as a heads up. I want them to be more similarly sized to the existing designs. The Berry Waffles Nebula will be slightly larger (3.2 inches) just to keep his head a comparable size to the other dragons.
