I know it's been *quite* a while. I do so apologize for that, but I have been working. Soul Food Wars art is in progress and it is looking even better than the first issue if I do say so myself. (Excuse the patterns in the tones/shading. Websites always mess with them.)

Lejani is busy cooking and you'll soon get to see the other kids in his house. Just like with Food Wars, they all have their own culinary niches. They are a colorful bunch and I can't wait for you all to meet them!
I expect the comic to be ready by the end of June at this moment. Later than I'd planned, mostly because I started my own publishing company! Burning Phoenix Press is working on its first project and most of my projects from now on will be published through them. However, Soul Food Wars will always be a personal project directly from me.

What now?
Well, there's still two more weeks in the campaign so there's still a chance to preorder if you haven't. And don't be afraid to brag that you've already secured your copy (i.e. share the campaign as much as possible). You're in the cool kids club. Be sure to let folks know.
I'll be able to start on the art soon and I'll be sharing it with all of my lovely backers as I'm working over these next few months. I can't wait to show y'all.

I'm currently working on finishing the newest cover redraw and will reveal it soon. I'm also starting on testing this issue's recipe and it is a doozy so I'll have some culinary updates soon too!
