"Shadowlands Games is not technically a scam..." says AI before launching into concerns around Ponzi style funding schemes. Backers on new projects are now forewarned and the funding stream snipped If this is NOT a scam and, if this company are truly aware of Backerkit rules (as they very publicly attested to on this very forum), rules such as not using one project's funds to fund another, they will still have sufficient funds be able to produce and this deliver very soon. Shadowlands is now in hiding again, refusing to update backers, failing on every level and every promise and this speaks volumes. Shadowlands Games do not publish public corporate finacial statements however, their financial and operational health is heavily tracked through public crowdfunding metrics, which, according to AI currently show signs of severe delivery backlogs, significant crowdfunding concerns, backer complaints, communication breakdown and mismanagement. The hugely negative publicity, warnings to backers on new projects and clear history of failure to deliver must have had a heavy impact on thier revenue stream and I fully expect this company to declare bancrupy before the year is out. I hope I am wrong. I hope they still have each project's funds ringfenced for that project alone. I hope they will sort out their "printer backlog". I hope they will fulfil this project. Somehow I think it won't happen.
