Hey! Thanks so much for stopping by. My name is Caitlin and I run snacks please, a colourful little corner of the internet dedicated to fun enamel pins, art and ceramics. You can check out more of my work at my instagram, and on my etsy shop!
The TV Buddy was originally a digital illustration done by Threesided, aka Scott Gamble. (aka my husband!) The design has lived comfortably in our shop for a few years, but I've always been drawn to it, thinking it would make an awesome pin design. So I set about (not for the first time -see our Skater Demon in the about section below), converting one of Scott's designs into something pinnable!
I ended up with something that both Scott and I are really pleased with. The lines are a little straighter, and there's fewer tiny details and colours but I think it still captures the spirit of the original. We both can't wait to see it come to life as a shiny hard enamel pin!
Pledge NOW and pay LATER - BackerKit works as an all or nothing funding goal. When the campaign ends and we've reached our funding goal, your card will be charged. However, if the campaign is unsuccessful, your card will not be charged.
Designs unlock as the campaign gains more funding - it's best to pledge early to ensure your favourites get funded!
Pledge to both this campaign and Tea N Buns' campaign and, upon the success of both campaigns, qualify for this freebie! (as well as the freebie from Tea & Buns!)
Due to the unpredictable nature of the shipping and manufacturing process, these estimates are subject to change in either direction. We'll be sure to send progress updates regularly until fulfilled.
April 18 2024 : Campaign ends, and funds will be received 2-3 weeks later.
Late April : Surveys sent to backers
Mid May: Production will start with an estimated 4-8 weeks of production time.
Late May: Shipping cost charged to backers
Mid June - Early July: Production of Pins finishes and they ship to me in Canada.
I've been an avid pin collector for almost a decade now. I've always loved how they are like shiny little art pieces you can hold in your hands. I knew I had to start making my own. Once I did, it was hard to stop. It's so gratifying and cool to see your design come to life as a pin, something you can hold in your hands! Here's a handful of some of my favourite pins I've designed over the years. Hopefully it'll give you an idea of my commitment to design and aesthetic with my work!
As I said at the start of this campaign page, the TV Buddy won't be the first time Scott and I have collaborated to make one of his drawings into an enamel pin. This Skater Demon character below is an example of how we turned his original sketch into a print and then into a full on enamel pin! Thank you so much for checking out my work. It means so much to me to be able to share it! Please consider giving my instagram a follow or checking out my etsy shop. <3
