Inspired by a love of koi fish and dragons alike, Dragon Pond aims to bring forth beautiful, elegant, and powerful dragon pins, referencing different coloration of the popular Japanese fish.
For many years I grew up with a koi pond outside- and because of their beautiful scales and delightful personalities, I can easily say koi are one of my absolute favorite fish.
I also have enjoyed dragons since childhood- and I've grown more and more attached to river and water dragons in adulthood!
A majority of funds will go toward creating the pins themselves! Around 10% of what is made here will go to fees related to running this campaign (which is automatically taken from the final amount by Backerkit and Stripe). I also have to account for dropped pledges, which often total to somewhere between $300-$1000.
If by some chance any extra money is made through this campaign, it will be used to support the creator during the creation period (with bills, food, etc)!

We'll try to give a heads up via update at least a week before we charge the cards, which will happen after the pins have shipped and arrived with us!

USA will most likely be between $8-10
CANADA, MEXICO, AUSTRALIA, UNITED KINGDOM and JAPAN will most likely be between $20-25
Due to shipping issues in various parts of the world right now, this project will only be able to ship to USA, MEXICO, AUSTRALIA, JAPAN, UNITED KINGDOM and CANADA. If you are interested in buying from another location, you will have to set up a proxy. :( Sorry for the inconvenience!
If you back all four campaigns from Pin Ren Faire, you will receive a free Dango Koiyaki pin from me—and a free pin from every other campaign you backed!
The following schedule is tentative and subject to change at any time! It mostly exists to give you an idea of the timeline between campaign to shipping! Pins may be delayed or arrive much sooner than planned!
September 1st, 2026: Campaign launches! Pledging begins!
September 17th, 2026: Campaign ends!
Late September or early October, 2026: Surveys go out to collect your pin selections and shipping information! BackerKit sends the funds so the order can be placed. Pin orders will be placed with the manu!
December 2026-February, 2027: Pins are manufactured and shipped to us!
February-March, 2027: Shipping charges are collected and your items are sent to you!
While items may arrive way sooner, please allow up to 4-6 months for items to be manufactured and sent our way! Updates will be made if anything comes up!
Delays may happen due to various reasons such as manufacturing delays, tariffs, shipping during bad weather, etc. Please be aware all dates are tentative!
Colors, shapes and sizes of items may vary from the original concept work if the manufacturer requires changes. All pin designs are tentative and subject to change for any reason.
There is always a small risk of packages being lost in transit, and whether we can help or not depends greatly on the situation.
Shipping will be collected after the campaign is done! Pledges do not include shipping. Shipping prices may change slightly if prices are raised between the campaign and the time of shipment.
