Hello Tent and Bedroll Backers,

After a great first week, we’ve hit another stretch goal! With this one we’ve unlocked another book in the This and That series, with a theme voted on by the backers! I’ll post a survey after the campaign warps up to make sure everybody gets a vote, but feel free to leave a comment to nominate a topic of your choice!

Now let’s see if we can fund a third book!

The optional rules was by far the winner in our poll what people wanted to see previewed. There’s another poll for next week’s preview, but for now, here’s rules for finding a campsite.

Finding the right place to set up camp can mean the difference between a good night’s rest and getting stabbed in your sleep. With this rule you can find the prefect camping spot.

When you set up camp make a DC 15 Survival check. If you succeed, choose one of the options below for your camp. If your result is 20 or higher, choose a second option.

Defensible: Your camp has excellent sight lines and natural barriers. You gain advantage to notice creature approaching, and targets must pass through at least 30 feet of difficult terrain before the reach your camp.

Hidden: Your campsite may be in dense forest or hidden in a cave. Those looking for it need to make a Perception check equal to your Survival check.

Restful: The site features comfortable moss to lie on and shelter from the elements. Upon awaking the next day, everyone gains Temporary Hit Points equal to their proficiency bonus.

Restorative: The site is near medicinal herbs, and has a source of clean water. Anyone resting there gains advantage on Constitution saving throws made there.
