The project paid out so I was able to pay the artists and now I can get to work. I'll be updating this page each month with the things I'm working on. The last two weeks I've been using to unwind and get obsessed with Marathon, so today will be all about getting reacquainted with the project. The writing is all where it needs to be, it's just about the layout and editing at this point.
If you have questions, let me know. I'm going to figure out how to setup the store for late backers, but I've never done that before so give me some patience haha
With 48 hours remaining, I wanted to share a lot of the art I've been working on for Screaming Metal since the project launched.
First up is the galaxy map for the Handlers. It's been part of the basic rules over on itch, but I wanted to show it off here. Very volatile arrangement. As soon as a pilot starts doing missions, things are going to change hands.
Obsessed with the pixelated text. Will be doing this for a spread in the zine itself.
A poster for the W3IRD.
I like how the textures of this one came out.
Travel poster for the hegemony homeworld of Plear. I want to make one of these for a few of the population centers.
I have no idea about this one. I was just having fun and trying some new things out.
And lastly, here's a bunch of company logos for the factions.
SO YEAH, things are moving nicely. I'm having a blast working on various things and fleshing out the world through art.
If you haven't backed yet, now's the time! 48 hours remains!
I felt a little down on myself for not having the game playable upon launch of the crowdfunder because this is the kind of game that lives and dies on the fact that it's for you all to play right now and enjoy while I continue to flesh it out. WELL it is in that state now and I will continue to flesh it out and finish it and expand it.
I have a ridiculous amount of things I want to add. Granularity out the wazoo, lemme tell you. They all won't fit in the zine but I'm gonna jam as much as I can and then get to work on expansion immediately.
Help me share this around. Get the word out. I only know a bunch of local tgirls and most of them would rather fuck than play a TTRPG so y'know, ya girl is trying out here.
That is all for now. Seriously just go read it!
I'll also be posting a big mechsploitation essay over on my patreon this Friday, delving into what it is why Screaming Metal is the way it is. So if you're interested in that, click here!
