Project Update: Surveys and navigating this global chaos
Hey everyone,
Sorry that it's been a hot minute since I checked in and I'm sorry it has to be on such a negative note. I don't need to explain the absolute chaos Trump has caused for us businesses across the globe with his tariff nonsense and of course my own business hasn't gone unaffected. Right now everything is still scheduled to go ahead as planned but I'll be frank, the chances of delays are extremely likely now because of how unpredictable this man is. Nobody is able to properly prepare as things change by the hour and this makes it all so very, very difficult.
I'm a UK based business but I do source some of my items from China. For this campaign that will be acrylic charms. The shirts are from a Belgian company (that manufactures them in Bangladesh) which are then printed on in the UK. The patches will also be made by this UK company. The stickers are manufactured in Sweden. How all these items will end up being tariffed by the US is a complete mystery right now - rules regarding B2C shipments are in the dark on top of that, we only have rumours - but I will try my damned hardest to do whatever I can for you US backers to make all of this as painless as possible.
On a more positive note that's the actual products; surveys should go out soon. As said before, I won't be charging shipping until a later date (certainly now we have this mess to deal with) but in order to do that I need to wait for BackerKit to activate some things for me (sorry, this is my first time using this platform, it's a learning experience). Once that is live I will be sending out the surveys so you can pick your shirt design plus size.
As for add-ons post campaign I'll be stating now that I'll be limiting these to patches and stickers only.
